Easy place get drunk. But not to eat.
I find as a person who can enjoy a casino. I have not drank for a good 7 years. If you want to drink and maybe get drunk at 9 a.m. this place is great. But if you want to eat have to wait till noon. So easy get smashed in the morning but if you want to eat don't bother. This place is a waiste for a a.m. trip if you want to enjoy a coffee and food. While having. Good time. Don't go here slots are nice people are friendly. Other the. That go to any of the other places around the casino. Prices are cheaper for better morning services.

    Subpar consistent performance @MGM
Gaming floor is the only joy there. Rooms often subpar but this stint it was so dirty with dust and hair especially bathroom that was beyond gross, see photos. No room service, microwave or fridge. Not much for restaurants if open. Went to Mexican counter joint and employee shouting at customer with manager standing assisting in no way. Just seems like everywhere you turn they fall short.

    Don't play the Slots
MGM Springfield is celebrating five years and if you're a slots player, there's really nothing to celebrate. The machines are probably the tightest in the business. I realize you can't every time you play but be prepared to bring a lot of money (and get lucky) and bet high to win a jackpot. The bathrooms are many times a mess. The garage is always dirty, but it is free parking so that kinda evens things out). The food choices are average. The bright spot is the Tap Sports Bar, a terrific place to spend time with friends and unwind. The employees are, for the most part, excellent representatives of the company.

    Disappointing
The worst customer service I've ever experienced. Ever. Tell me how it took 3 weeks of phone calls not being returned to be told today that the algorithm must've caught up to me?! What? I'm a gold member who spends entirely too much time/money there. To have zero slot play/promotions? Zero. No, you're just too lazy to figure it out or admit fault. Shameful.

My husband and I live in Ct., and our usual casino is Mohegan Sun, sometimes Foxwoods. Our first trip to MGM was great, we had fun, won some money, had a lobster roll. The casino itself, being in the city, has a smaller footprint so it's easier to get around for people that are elderly or just have bad knees like I do. MGM gives each of us quite a bit of 'free' play money so we've been regulars there for six months. But we went today, and we're finding every time we go that the casino is going down. They took out a whole lot of machines so there's some empty floor space where there used to be rows of machines. The food venues are sparse, there is sort of a 'food court' where you can get a lobster roll for 19.95 and hopefully the roll won't be soggy wet or the lobster tough from sitting in a heating pan for hours. There's another option for hamburgers and a 'Noodles' which has sort of Asian food. Then there's one that sells a bowl of taco ingredients, including two types of refried beans. It's really unappetizing and the couple in front of me (there was nobody else in line there) were complaining and the man told the girl behind the counter. "Everything looks so disgusting, this place should be ashamed" to which she replied "I only work here". There are two restaurants on the other side of the casino and in all the times I've been to MGM neither of them has been open. I don't know why they're even there, maybe for late night diners. So eat before you go, if you do go. Then there's the Kiosks... They used to be located right off the elevator as you enter. Of course you have to swipe your MGM card to get the free stuff or drawing entries. But they moved them halfway across the casino. Today we couldn't find them at all and were told on the way out, they were moved again, across the other side of the casino entirely, about as far from the entrance as they could possibly be. Are Kiosks that expensive that MGM can't afford to put Kiosks at convenient locations all over the casino? All in all my opinion of MGM Grand Springfield has taken a nose dive.

If anyone wants a really phenomenal hotel experience and the best buffet that we've ever had in our lives, you must go to Mohegan Sun. The breakfast buffet is my favorite, So go try the Seasons Buffet at Mohegan, you'll never forget it. As for MGM Springfield, pass it up.

Go somewhere else to gamble! Machines are so tight you can hear them squeak. No bonuses, unlimited dead spins. You can spin 40 times in a row at even a max bet before you get a whopping 40 cents back. Unbalanced pay scales and they should be audited. Plan on dropping a few hundred dollars in just minutes before the only machine that pays out anything is the ATM. You'll lose every time. MGM stand for "must get money" or "may get mugged". Cuz that's exactly what they do. Mug all your money. Piece of crap casino. No wonder it's so empty all the time. Some people smartened up and decided they'd rather drive a little further and get to play fair rather than dumping all their money into machines that are consistently tight. 3 years, not even a handout, or even come out even. I've had jackpot wins at EVERY OTHER casino in the area, except for here. And I frequent it the most. What does that say. I won't return. They're rigged to screw everyone good.

I have never been to a hotel that cared less about their guests. We were staying for a nearby wedding. We went to check in around 6pm for rooms we had reserved and prepaid and were told there were no clean room available and we should take a seat and wait. I explained that we were traveling with 4 small children who had been in the car for quite a while and asked how long we’d need to wait. The woman again told me to take a seat. I asked to speak to a manager, she disappeared and never came back. When I asked someone else who appeared 15 minutes later if they were the manager, they said no and the manager would be right with me. Again, no one came. The first woman reappeared 20 minutes later and again offered no information about when we could check in. The manager never did appear. 30 minutes later, no one had spoken with us or told us when rooms might be available. We had to leave and find somewhere else to stay. Truly a terrible experience. Needless to say, I would never step foot in there again.

I’m from Connecticut so I was curious to stop in this casino to check it out because I’m used to the Connecticut casinos. My friend and I were driving home from upstate NY and were hungry & thought why not, a casino should have something good to eat……NOT! Very disappointed. We walked around and saw all the restaurants were closed, asked someone who worked there and they apologized & pointed us to Bill’s diner, the only restaurant open at 9:30pm.

For that reason, would not want to come to this casino again. If I’m hungry & want something to eat, I’m not going to stay and play if I can’t get any food. The CT casinos have a variety of food places open all night.

Signs to find the parking garage were bad also. Had to drive around the block multiple times before finding the garage. Also, there should be a box of masks at elevator if casino is requiring masks….I had to rummage around to find one or not go in….how was I supposed to know of the mask requirement being from out of state?

Only positive thing about the casino is the free soda and coffee. I have no plans on visiting this casino again. MGM Springfield needs to learn from their CT neighbors……

My wife and I visited MGM Springfield on numerous occasions prior to 2020. We always sat at the main bar and played video poker. Drinks were comped and the bartenders were great. We won a few times but we usually were able to play for a couple of hours on $100.

I decided to return today for the first time since December. My wife did not join me.
There was a decent crowd considering the social distancing requirements. I found a video poker machine at our usual bar, which was closed as I anticipated. I had heard that there was drink service on the casino floor so I hoped to get a few beers and play for a couple of hours.

I inserted $60 in the machine and began playing. I saw one girl serving a drink but she was too far away to see me. Twenty five minutes later my $60 was gone and so was I.

No few beer. No couple of hours of play.

Very disappointed. Will not return.

My wife and I spent Friday, November 25th at the MGM Springfield hotel along with another couple. After dinner we went to the casino which was understandably busy being the day after Thanksgiving. There were three men playing at a Three Card Poker table. All three of them were playing two hands taking up all six positions on the table. When I asked to join the table, each of the men refused to play only one hand. The dealer and the Pit Boss both did nothing to allow me and my wife to join the table. The men all appeared to be "locals" and just smirked as I spoke to the Pit Boss about the table. I have gambled all over the world and have always been told that playing two hands is allowed, but if another person requests a seat they should be allowed to play. I guess I'll be taking my gambling business to more accommodating casinos in the future.

We stayed at MGM for one night to gamble. The room was clean, nice, and unusual. We've stayed here before with no issues. This time, we saw a homeless person sleeping on a couch in the lobby. There was also a constant skunk smell of cannabis everywhere in this place. There's not many food choices in the casino, I'd suggest the Red Rose next door. Slots are tight here, and the comps are poor. But...hey, it's a casino and you don't go to get rich.

I am a platinum card holder and this casino doesn’t care about high rollers. You better off going to Foxwoods. They give you same gifts as a no status customer and many times when they run out of the $25 gift cards, they offer you $15 gift card and $10 fee play which is a joke. Manager (Luis) I spoke to at the casino wasn’t helpful at all. No respect to customers at all.

My boyfriend and I LOVE the MGM Springfield! Last week was our first visit to this property and we found it beyond nice and glad that we were not swayed by the negative reviews. The room prices were very reasonable, and we even upgraded to a suite for an extra $150 per night. The suite was beautifully appointed and very clean. We ate at the Tap Sports Bar (get the giant pretzel!) and had a romantic dinner at The Chandler Steakhouse. Unfortunately, the onsite bowling alley and Topgolf area were closed, but next time we’re back hopefully they’ll be open. And the casino was nice and we did spend some time at the slots and tables which was fun and buzzy! We would highly recommend this property for a fun weekend and will definitely be back.

I cannot believe that MGM Springfield is part of the MGM portfolio. This is hardly a full service casino hotel.
There is no working spa, they do not offer any type of room service and there is no high limit table games… how is this possible?
The single zero roulette wheel is never open because god forbid they give you some type of advantage if you can even have that in a casino.
The roulette table in the high limit area doesn’t even have a wheel on it 😂
There is a lot of watching that goes on with non gaming patrons can make you feel a little uncomfortable at times. Definitely not a place for big betters as there is nothing to do so comps are useless there. They have two stores one is in the lobby your usual lobby store.
The other is a jewelry store with absolutely some of the worst jewelry I have ever seen. By the way your comps are not dollar for dollar at the jewelry store which is why they never sell anything nor is anyone shopping there. The food court is just not good even with half off.
Restaurants are open Friday and Saturday how can they not be open 7 days a week in a casino?
I am not quite sure if casinos can go out of business but this one is definitely gasping for air!!!
