District finals have arrived and that means a full slate of quality games are lined up for Friday night and Saturday -- and we’ve got the full schedule of games listed for you below.
Before we get to that, however, it is time to announce which player won the Metro Detroit Player of the Week fan poll for district openers.
Stoney Creek RB claims Player of the Week vote
As one of the Michigan High School Football Player of the Year top 10 selections, Buford has had a special season for Rochester Hills Stoney Creek. His district semifinals performance in a 28-21 win over Clinton Township Chippewa Valley may have been his best of the season as he rushed for 246 yards and 2 touchdowns on 45 carries.
Fans agreed his performance was special as Burford’s 2,967 votes were more than enough to edge out the 2,271 votes collected by Canton running back Zack Badger in second place.
