This park has everything to enjoy by families or just by yourself to have some quite time. its located on Mercer Island on the shore of Lake Washington. Lots of parking, easy to get to and tons of trails, play structures, piers and lots to do. - JMcPortland, OR21 contributionsThis is a beautiful, metropolitan park that’s great for walking dogs and escaping the craziness of daily life. Developed in the center of the island, it has the sense of being multiple parks. Depending on your preference there are portions set aside for off-leash and leashed only, as well as trail riding for horses.
The caretakers of this park are working hard to allow nature to work her magic here, so there are beautiful trillions in the Spring and numerous varieties of trees that have been allowed to life-cycle naturally.
Because the park sits between two major north/south roads, the best way to maintain a sense of nature is to stick to the middle of the parks. My only complaint is that some of the truffles aren't as pronounced in flavor as I might like, but that's a minor thing compared to the niceness of the chocolate.
