Megan Fox Reveals Her New Blonde Bob on Instagram

Megan Fox may have hopped on the "New Year, New 'Do" wave.

The Jennifer's Body actress debuted a surprising hair transformation on Instagram yesterday, in pics where he signature brunette tresses are traded for a trendy blonde cut. In the selfies, the star stands in what seems to be a trailer as she shows off the long bob with wispy bangs, which has an ombré effect from her dark at the roots to a lighter honey blonde.

The star paired the new style with smoky eyeshadow and a glossy pink lip, while wearing a green tank with a black sweater in the first pic, and a dark gray button-down in the second.

Though the new look is likely a temporary hairdo for the project Fox appears to be filming, the long, sharp bob is having a moment this winter, with celebs including Hailey Bieber and Jenna Ortega taking a pair of scissors to their tresses. The Transformers actress tends to keep her hair dark, though she has tried out blonde wigs for a splash of fun on the red carpet (and on Halloween of course).

Last June, the star tried out a platinum pink style for the premiere of fiancé Machine Gun Kelly's Hulu documentary, Life in Pink. For her half of the on-theme couple look, Fox opted for a two-toned blush and magenta minidress with a keyhole cutout from designer Nensi Dojaka. For shoes, she wore strappy bubblegum pink heels.

In an interview last year, Fox reflected on how her relationship with Kelly helped her embrace her own personal style.

"Prior to being famous everyone who knew me always knew that I would always wear one really insane piece, and everybody would be like, 'You dress weird.' And it wasn't until I was molded and had to dress one way that I gave up on that," she said. "And being with him, obviously, he's slightly eccentric in the way that he dresses—and that has freed me up to express myself more. And he helped hook me up with Maeve Reilly, my stylist."
