MEA. Middle East scam company

Truly poor customer service that only focuses on profit and primarily thinks about how they can exploit their passengers after they have bought a ticket. They don't respond at all or only after a week.
They advertise that you can buy extra baggage online, which normally costs 100 euros.
But you can't do that, and they inform you that extra baggage can only be ordered at the airport for 150 euros.
A corrupt airline. At a high level, they aim to exploit and suck money from customers.
Stay away from this terrible company.

Disgraceful airline

MEA has to be one THE worst airline on the planet! flight attendances are nasty and got horrible attitude, check-in staff has no idea what they're doing and waste people time by adding unnecessary checks so they can extort money from vulnerable passengers, we were jammed packed like sardines on the flight and the plane was ancient, meal provided on the flight was more like dog food. This was an eye opening experience and I will never ever travel with MEA again!

If you want be put off from flying for life just try & experience Beirut Airport and MEA airline!

Everything is wrong with Lebanon.

MEA steals customers' money

Though the food is better than average, MEA is guilty of blatant ticket theft.

MEA's practice of closing check-ins before time, knowing full well that passengers are still out there, combined with their policy of canceling return flight if the outgoing ticket, irrespective of the reason, is not used, is simply illegal – certainly in my country. And they'll soon know.

The WORST ever!!!!!!

The WORST ever!!!!!!! They did not allow my mother to check in unless she buys a return ticket from their airlines paying for it cash (500 EUR). My mother had already a return ticket from another airline. In addition to the stress that caused her and deceiving treatment…. Me, my husband and my brothers who all fly very frequently from Lebanon would never fly with them ever again…

OVERRATED - AVOID IF YOU CAN

They cancelled my flight and advanced it by 13hours on New Year's Day. They offered nothing as help and wanted me to "deal with it".

Very overrated company. It's like buying an Emirates ticket and ending up on a Ryanair flight.

They don't think about their…

They don't think about their competition . They are more expensive then all other airlines that comes to east Africa especially Lagos and Kano .

They have lost all their citizen patronage. Just like any thing in Lebanon , going downwards and not the other way around.

I had a major issue with my ticket

I had a major issue with my ticket! which i bought from a random app! I called middle east call center, Nadine (lebanon call center) assisted me in the best possible way, resolved my issue in such ease and delicacy! Thank you Nadine you are a gem! Which deserved to be pointed out in the cyber world. Middle east keep recruiting excellent employees! Your clients wont be dissapointed! This woman deserves a raise.

It's the worst airplane company ever

It's the worst airplane company ever. They discriminate people, on board the plane. They have no sense of respect at all. and are very rude to the passengers. I had paid for a business ticket, but it was not worth the money at all. You'll get greeted by very unprofessional employees. Absolutely the worst customer service EVER. And its inside Beirut's airport and also before boarding the plane. I would never recommend flying with MEA. It is a shame that I, as a Lebanese, am embarrassed by how MEA represents Lebanon. You should be ashamed of yourself, you are some rude and disrespectful people. WORST COMPANY EVER

If you would like to be ripped off

If you would like to be ripped off, then this is the place to go. These are just crooks. I made the mistake to book with them after 20 years of boycott, just because British Airways stopped flying direct to Beirut because of Covid. It will now take 200 years before even thinking using them again!

Could be better

Just a fine service a would say. Though MEA is kind of expensive and they like to apply penalties and fees here and there.

Last time I had to pay 50$ charge for a punctuation mistake on my name.

Other time I had to few more bucks for conversion from EUR to USD because i was booking from Lebanon.

Honestly if there are other choices available, i would go for other companies.

0 considerations for people in need

After booking and requesting 2 wheelchairs for my old grandmother and my handicapped aunt, a conformation email was received.
we were shocked after 20 minutes wait at the airport that they dont have chairs today.
They were very unprofessional, inhuman and not reliable at all. Very bad experience and big disrespect for their customers

No seats left

MEA airlines provide the only direct flight from Copenhagen to Lebanon, although the tickets could reach double the price of a transit flight by fx Turkish airlines the service on MEA is AWFUL. It’s so chaotic, once during check in for our flight from Lebanon to Copenhagen, we were told that the plane was full and no seats left, although we had a ticket to that particular flight. For a moment you get the impression that you’re dealing with a public buss company. They wanted us to buy new tickets for the next flight, not until we threatened them with complaining they agreed of letting us on the next flight without additional charges.
They didn’t compensate with an accommodation, we were forced to pay for our own accommodation for that night.
Making a long story short. The Middle East airlines should not be operating as airlines, they don’t have a clue how to provide service and no idea how to run there business.
No more MEA airlines.

I will not deal with them anymore first…

I will not deal with them anymore first and last time.I had the most terrible experience in check in .They wanted to cancel my trip because of wrong information they have in their mind ,and they don’t have the right procedure .when I asked them to check of their information, they refused and they asked me to leave .they were shouting on people and on me, and I got so annoyed and worried of my trip that I could lose it because of their ignorance ,when I checked after that I found that all their information was wrong ,and they cost me another payment for trip .they are rude impolite to the customer ,and make the trip more difficult especially one supervisor called Amal she was shouting on people all the time and shouted on me also in this difficult situation.this in Rafik hariri airport of lebanon.

SO MANY FEES

Good food, good seat spaces but their prices are overpriced.
I missed my flight in September that I wanted to re use in December so I payed the penalty but I should have know that I shouldn't since it wouldn't get me anywhere there another set of fees until you could use your unused ticker
REBOOKING FEES?? BUT I ALREADY PAID PENALTY!
So it would cost me $1000 just for oneway ticket while using my old ticket.

THIS IS THEFT.

First time we take this airline from…

First time we take this airline from London, brand new planes and amazing food. On the way back our 4 year old daughter left her panda bear bag on the plane. A lovely staff member called us up the next day to tell us it is being held at their offices. The bag had little value but meant the world to our daughter. Anese from MEA brought the bag out of the airport and agreed to meet us on his route home to avoid the hassle of coming to the airport. Couldn’t rate them more , very impressed and suprised by the quality of the service and this airline in general.

Best time

Amazing! Online check in was the best I had ever seen. Filled with profession and easiness. They would always notify me on my phone in case something changes e.g gate number etc.
Loved the entertainment set up, pilots were extremely kind. 10/10! Airline should be set to 5 stars.

DO NOT RECOMEND

It was horrible! I was wated for more then 15 hours and then they told us that the flight delay for five more hours. I think this is just unacceptable. We were in dubai so it was comfortable to wayt in the airport but I missed my beirut bus because of this and i already preorder my tickets.

delayed and damaged bags without compensation by company

Hello,
My mother had flight from Cameroon to Cyprus connecting with MEA through Cairo-Egypt. Her two bags were delayed for all her stay of 12 days in Cyprus.
Even tho we reported the delayed bags from her arrival, and then made a daily follow-up, we could not have any proper response from the company until the last days of her return to Cameroon. And just one bag has been recovered. The second one with expensive goods and food has been destroyed by the customs.
After 5 days of delayed bags, we made a complaint for damage caused, and until the present date, noting has been responded to it.

We have to say that this experience is one of the worst we have had.

Bad service

This airlines have no idea of how to provide service. So much chaos between ground crew and flight crews. They give our children seats in exit row. So they stopped us and told they gonna change our seats. They make us wait until everyone gone in and still couldn't sort it. Passengers themselves helped us to get our seats. Terrible service

My kids were crying and people were looking, the flight attendants kept coming up and telling me to make my kids stop crying and I was trying to do that and I was frustrated with the 38 minute delay, I raised my voice and said “The plane doesnt need this much delay”, the flight attendant came and raised her hand in my face and said lower your voice or I will kick you off the flight, then she said you will see what I’m going to do and she went to the captain I don’t know what she told him, then she got security and said you either apologize or get off, and I didn’t want to, and the flight attendant standing in the back was doing with her hand “get off”.

After I was off the plane, the flight attendant came to my brother to write a letter in English that’s not %100 true.

Worst Airline, no one should go on it, the Captain and the crew was terrible, they just listened to what the flight attendant said and not the passengers side.

They removed me from the flight because I didn’t apologize, they kept my kids, husband, and brother on the plane and left me in Lebanon and I’m a US Citizen, I will file a lawsuit against you and will not be silent about what happened

كان أطفالي يبكون والناس ينظرون ، واستمر المضيفون في القدوم ويخبرونني أن أجعل أطفالي يتوقفون عن البكاء وكنت أحاول فعل ذلك وشعرت بالإحباط بسبب التأخير البالغ 38 دقيقة ، فرفعت صوتي وقلت "الطائرة لا تحتاج إلى هذا التأخير كثيرًا "، جاءت المضيفة ورفعت يدها في وجهي وقالت أخفض صوتك وإلا سأركلك من الرحلة ، ثم قالت إنك سترى ما سأفعله وذهبت إلى الكابتن لا أعرف ما قالته له ، ثم حصلت على الأمن وقالت إنك إما تعتذر أو تنزل ، ولم أرغب في ذلك ، والمضيفة التي تقف في الخلف كانت تفعل بيدها "انزل".

بعد أن كنت خارج الطائرة ، جاءت المضيفة إلى أخي لكتابة خطاب باللغة الإنجليزية ليس 100٪ صحيحًا.

أسوأ شركة طيران ، لا ينبغي لأحد أن يركبها ، كان الكابتن والطاقم سيئًا ، لقد استمعوا فقط إلى ما قالته المضيفة وليس جانب الركاب.
