Obituary
Attica - Charlotte Marie (Gibson) Bowman, 75, Attica, passed away in the Waters of Covington, on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 2:32 p.m.
Charlotte was born in Waverly, in Morgan County, Indiana on July 12, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Samuel P. and Mary Elizabeth (Phillips) Gibson. Charlotte was raised in Waverly and attended grade school in Waverly and high school in Mooresville. She formerly worked managed the Grab-it-Here Grocery in Attica and later as a clerk for Hooks and later CVS Pharmacy. She and her husband managed the Wabash Drive-In in Attica for several years.
Charlotte was a member of the Bethel Community Church. She enjoyed reading and being outdoors where she like to plant her violets. She formerly enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was especially fond of spending time with her grandchildren.
Charlotte married Steven Bowman in the Waverly Chapel on July 20, 1962.
Charlotte leaves behind her husband, Steve of nearly 60 years along with two daughters, Charlotte (the late Dewayne) Wilson, Attica and Delisa (Billy) Farrar, Williamsport; six grandchildren, Steve (Diane Nackman) Bowman, Ashley (Kyle Ransom) Wilson, Samantha (Zach) Badgley, Storm Marie, Stephanie (Nick Scheurich) Draper and Seth Farrar; seven great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, William “Scoot”, Zachary, Maliki, Jericho, Zebadiah “Scrappy” and Aurora along with a great-grandson, Ezra Michael coming in May; a brother, Robert Gibson, Ellettsville, IN and a sister, Dessie Wallace, Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Shane and a great-granddaughter, Gracie Marie Taylor.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Friday, April 15th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the Bethel Community Church east of Attica on Saturday, April 16th, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Tracy Acord officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery, behind the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Community Church.
