      Critics Consensus

It may work best for die-hards, but when it cuts out the noise and focuses on the connections Friends: The Reunion is as warm and comforting as a night in the café.

Kauã M Even with all the criticism and problems, watching this is very emotional, if you do a Friends marathon and then watch this, you will feel emotional, I unfortunately took too long to see this thinking it would be bad, but after the tragedy Matthew Perry's death, I had to watch it and even though the feeling that it could have been better remains in the air, I still say that "Friends: The Reunion" is very good and worth watching. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review Keith N Best reunion show I've seen Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/30/23 Full Review Felipe E Very emotional , specially if you are a Friends fan. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/08/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie is wonderful. Especially the performance of Jennifer is commendable especially her views (https://thenewstoday24.com/jennifer-aniston-says-that-she-feels-useless-in-the-middle-of-russian-invasion-of-ukraine/) are really commendable. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Me; The biggest Friends-nerd and fan out there, currently holding 13 rewatches of the original series Friends (1994). I genuinely loved every single second of this 2 hour Reunion special. All of the small scenes fit perfectly with the original series; reading script in character, watching bloopers, returning to the set, as well as the many interviews of our beloved cast of Friends. When I think about the reunion, I will always remember James Michael Tyler (RIP) on the big screen, being interviewed for roughly one minute. The way the producers cut most of the scenes, to keep it all under the 2 hour mark, is mindblowingly stupid! Fans all over the world have been begging for a reunion over a decade, and when they eventually make one, they cut the special short... Disrespectful to the cast of Friends, to the many fans across the globe, as many of us would gladly watch 6 hours of our favourite Friends talk and have fun, but most importantly incredibly scary to think about what else they may have cut, to let random celebrities have their 10 minutes of fame... Other than that; thanks to the cast of Friends (1994) for 25 good years with a ton of memories! Milestone! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member it was brilliant, I've watched it over 20 times already, it was so nice seeing them altogether, they've grown so much, seeing Matthew Perry become emotional, was like the icing on the cake, as his character admitted he hadnt cried since he was a child Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Scaachi Koul BuzzFeed News A scripted version of what happened to the actors behind these archetypal characters would have made for more compelling TV. Apr 8, 2022 Full Review Carol Midgley Times (UK) Oh. My. God. Could this have BEEN any more schmaltzy? Rated: 2/5 Jun 5, 2021 Full Review Hugo Rifkind Times (UK) I have to admit that I, personally, was utterly sold from the first moment that Ross Geller walked on to the remade set. Waves of fondness. Constant smile. Not sure what's happened to me. No one told me life was going to be this way. Jun 5, 2021 Full Review Akos Peterbencze The Screen Friends: The Reunion is nostalgia at its most harmless and sincere form, where we don't have to pretend we’re having fun because it happens naturally. Jul 25, 2023 Full Review Aaron Phillips But Why Tho? A Geek Community This reunion show left me with a feeling of utter contentment that I got to be a part of this cultural moment when I was younger. The format of the show does suffer some bumpy moments as it loses focus of the core cast...
