Fun people and productive work space
Project Engineer (Former Employee) - Los Angeles, CA - October 15, 2020
Great people that are always looking for fun and helping each other out. I would arrive on site around 7:00am and get my work done while having some laughs during the day and leave around 4:00pm.

Jobs at MATT Construction
in Los Angeles, CAWork load was not sustainable
Project Engineer (Former Employee) - Los Angeles, CA - April 4, 2017
I left because I thought the work load and stress levels were unsustainable.
The day starts between 6:30am and 7am. I started the day with RFIs or submittals (or whichever other pressing matter). I typically made phone calls around 10am and 2pm. There is a one hour lunch break that I needed to take for a little down time during the day. I spent a substantial amount of time in meetings and walking the jobsite. Depending on where the project was in the schedule, I'd either spend the days analyzing subcontractor bids, writing contract documents, distributing contract documents, reviewing the project schedule, creating and updating logs, creating punch lists, organizing attic stock deliveries, requesting warranties and as-builts from subcontractors, etc. The day typically ended no earlier than 5pm with several days per week ending later than 6pm.
The management will host a lot of cool events like the annual ski trip, personal training, races, triathlons, beach volleyball, etc.
