Matt Ward

Matthew Ward joined the Greensboro College men’s lacrosse staff in the fall of 2017.

Prior to joining the Greensboro staff, Ward spent seven seasons coaching Elon University’s MCLA program.

Beginning in 2011 as an assistant coach then transitioning to head coach, a position he held through the 2017 season, Ward amassed a coaching record of 60-30. He helped guide the Phoenix to six straight conference tournament appearances, winning the tournament and advancing to the MCLA National Tournament in 2012. During this time Ward had the privilege of coaching 30 SELC All-Conference players as well as three All-Americans.
 
Ward was a member of the Pride men’s lacrosse team from 2004 to 2008, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
