Olivia Newton-John seen on daughter Chloe Lattanzi’s Instagram 3 days before death

Olivia Newton-John’s daughter Chloe Lattanzi posted a photo with her mom three days before she died on Monday.

The photo shows the mother-daughter duo posing together and smiling in an open field. Lattanzi, 36, wore an off-the-shoulder tight white dress while Newton-John went with a beige pleated skirt and a white long-sleeve button down tied at the waist.

“I worship this woman. My mother. My best friend. @therealonj 💋💕👯‍♀️” she captioned the photo on Friday.

Lattanzi, who was Newton-John’s only child, also honored her mom with a series of photos on Instagram after her death was announced Monday afternoon.

Lattanzi, who followed in her mom’s footsteps as a singer and performer, shared both throwback and recent photos of her with her mom. The first photo shows Lattanzi as a toddler holding her mom’s head and kissing her mom on the lips. Another shows the singer holding her daughter as a baby on the beach.

The rest of the photos were present day snaps of the mother-daughter duo. Several of them featured the two talking during a virtual interview with ring lights. Lattanzi rounded out the photo dump with a recent selfie and photo of them all dolled up.

Newton-John, who was best known for her role as Sandy Olsson in “Grease,” died after a more than 30-year battle with breast cancer on Monday at the age of 73.

“Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer,” a statement posted to her social media accounts read. “Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer.”

The Grammy Award-winning singer revealed in October 2021 that she was battling Stage 4 breast cancer and was using medical marijuana to help the pain.

Prior to her most recent diagnosis, Newton-John first battled the illness in 1992 and again in May 2017. In September 2018, she was diagnosed with cancer for the third time.

Newton-John wed longtime boyfriend Matt Lattanzi in 1984, and she took a break from her career when she got pregnant with Chloe and gave birth to her in 1986. They eventually divorced amicably in 1995, and Newton-John married John Easterling in 2008.
