Boho bride! Matilda Brown defies tradition in two-piece wedding dress as she marries chef Scott Gooding at vintage-themed nuptials on Cockatoo Island - and the ceremony was organised in a WEEK due to bushfires

Matilda Brown married her chef partner Scott Gooding on Saturday in a stunning vintage-themed ceremony.

Held at Cockatoo Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sydney Harbour, the stunning nuptials had a high-end bohemian feel.

Matilda, 32, who is the daughter of actor Bryan Brown and actress Rachel Ward, defied tradition in a two-piece wedding dress that showed off a hint of midriff.

The stunning ensemble featured an off-the-shoulder, sheer, ruffled top which flowed around her upper shoulders.

The actress added a layered, flowing skirt, with soft sections resembling petals and a long train behind her.

The blonde wore a flower crown atop her cropped blonde hair, but went without other accessories but for her wedding ring.

For make-up, she chose a metallic, pearl-toned eye-shadow and bright red lipstick, as well as peachy blush.

Matilda appeared to opt for a pair of bejeweled sandals instead of high heels on the day.

The inside of the venue was the height of shabby chic charm, with playing card themed bunting and stripped back walls.

On the tables, native flower arrangements, candles and mix-and-match table cloths added to the vintage flair.

Matilda's sister Rosie took to Instagram to explain that the whole wedding venue was organised in a week - with the help of Matilda's mother Rachel, who handmade the decorations - due to the NSW bushfires.

Rosie wrote: 'It was... pulled together in under a week after we had to pull the wedding out of the way of the bushfires that were surrounding our family property on Australia's mid north coast.

'The Be Productions team... could not have made things run more perfectly, smoothly, calmly... considering the stressful circumstances of the change.

'Mum creatively directed the event and spent weeks making this gorgeous bunting Cockatoo Island, Sydney'.
