Master's Student: Baruch is a very great option for students who, like me, have no support from family and need to work a job to make a living while trying to accomplish a degree. They (the school) are accommodating and the professors are understanding given that this is a city college. Yet, that doesn't disqualify the school in any sense, classes are well-designed and people are very competitive. Alum: The Journalism program at The New School was experimental but also deeply grounded in mainstream methods of sourcing, materializing and communicating news and information. The best part was the ability to take eccentric classes, such as urban ecology and eco-feminism courses, that were connected back to my program. I think that this freedom allowed me to connect more to the information being taught and future career in this field. The worst part was that there weren't solid mentors to lead all of us through this hard work and be prepared for the tough world of news. The professors were great but the trusted ones couldn't handle a whole school of students, so some people got extra support and others didn't. Master's Student: A wonderful experience that motivated me to continue with my education career is being around excellent professors who had shared their passion to teach.
