The modding community for Marvel vs. Capcom has been making huge strides these past few years, and they're looking to culminate their work together in one place with some new additions.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Community Edition has been announced as an upcoming project that combines multiple mod packs together to bring 50 more characters to the game including some brand new ones too.

The previously created character mods by creators like Tabs, Calikingz01, Heefnoff, Chimichangar, Angelglory, Watcherkave, Xeno, Voltaic, Novembermann, and Treewiz are being pooled into one package thanks to the Clone Engine allowing for more character select slots that was figured out earlier this year.

You've got Asura, Batsu from Rival Schools, Street Fighter's Sakura, Iceman, Captain Commando, Ken Masters, Rashid, Psyclocke, Leon S. Kennedy, Thanos, Spider-Gwen, and many, many more all going to be available in one game.

They're also adding new selectable costumes to use as well like Street Fighter 6 Cammy, classic Thanos, and more to customize the experience further.

On top of all that, Community Edition is going to contain 4 new modded fighters that haven't been available elsewhere yet including the previously announced Dan Hibiki from Treewiz in all his goofy glory.

They reveal The Thing from the Fantastic Four as well as Gene from God Hand and finally Nero from Devil May Cry 5, and they all look pretty damn sick in action.

That's not all either, as the trailer teases some additional characters that'll be coming as well including Ruby Heart, Jon Talbain, Rogue and who appears to be Magma Dragoon from Mega Man X.

We don't yet have a release date for when Community Edition will become available to the public on PC (sorry console owners), but this is the next big step for turning UMvC3 into an actual platform for fans to get much more out of and support beyond just the official means.

Check out the reveal trailer for UMvC3 Community Edition to see the new characters and features in action and prepare for one hell of a ride coming your way soon.
