2007 ‘Kollegiet’ Directed by Martin Barnewitz
Wanting to start a fresh, Katrine moves from the province into a dormitory in Copenhagen and enrolls at the University. But when she crosses conniving Sanne by getting together with Sanne's ex, all hell breaks loose. Sanne and her friends frighten Katrine with an old myth surrounding the ghost of a former resident. Yet the myth very soon becomes reality.

"Kollegiet" aka "Room 205" does ring a bell or two about some J-horror movies of "old", IMO.
Don't think the plot/script was very good, though there were some interesting elements around. To be fair, I thought the movie (or parts of it) grew stronger as it went along, in a way.
Not much of an acting movie but Neel Rønholt was quite appealing (if nothing else for her beauty).
The movie had one (two, if you count the dead) interesting character in the whole movie, which was unfortunate. Though the movie doesn't really explore it well, Katrine had some depth to her.

You know who lives in Room 205? Improvement and its whole family, because these dorms have a lot of room for improvement.
But it's not (just) the silly special effects to disguise the lack of editing, the weird film stock or the permanent glow filter that make this a shit film, it's the gratuitous gang rape that caps off this exercise in lazy writing, editing and directing.
Kollegiet, or Room 205 in English, is the story of a young woman who has recently lost her mother and is now moving away from home, to live in shared house with a bunch of other young people. Apparently the Danish can make subpar J-horror movies too. Room 205 features stock characters, a mish-mash plot and almost zero suspense leading to an abrupt and clumsily paced climax. The ghost and its appearances are more eyebrow-furrowing than scary and at about the hour mark you'll start to wonder if this is actually a horror film or a movie about angsty Danish college kids - Degrassi Copenhagen if you will. The acting is passable but it takes so long to go anywhere that you end up not caring for a single person in the film. This is definitely one of the more disappointing flicks in Ghost House's 2008 batch. Only recommended for hardcore ghost story fans with nothing else left to watch.
A Danish J-Horror basically. It's not awful, just not particularly good. The central characters are all very unlikeable (apart from the lead) and it all feels rather unfocused.
This takes too long to get going and any jump scares are ruined by a terrible editing technique. Feels like it was made in The Nineties.

A college student (Neel Rønholt) moves into a dorm and is greeted by rude/slimy students. Naturally she wants to fit in, resulting in some uncomfortable watching on my part.
By the time the flick begins to tell its ghost/revenge tale, I was hoping everyone would die.
A couple of good EFX.
Neel is easy on the eyes but her acting range was quite limited.
Let's make the crazy antagonistic/jealous/possessive chick our leader and do whatever crazy sh#t she suggests!
