Step 1. Open your Discord app in browser

You have to open your Discord account in your browser since you need to invite the bot in your server.

 

Step 2.  Visit Marriage Bot’s page on Top.gg

You can either search on Google to look for the official link on Top.gg

Top.gg is a search-and-discovery website, where anyone can list their Discord bots, servers, or DAOs.

 

Step 3. Invite Marriage Bot to your Server

After visiting the bot's Top.gg page. You will see two buttons, "Invite" and "Vote". Since you first need to invite the bot on your server, click on "Invite Bot".

Note: You need to be atleast a bot master to invite the bot to your target server.

 

Step 4. Selecting your Server

After inviting the bot, you will be then redirected to this page asking you to add the bot on the server of your choice. In this instance, I will be adding the Marriage bot to my test server, GoLinuxCloud Test Server.

After selecting the server of your choice, click "Continue".

 

Step 5. Authorizing Marriage Bot to your Server

The bot will ask you permissions to access the server. You don't have to worry because you can change these permissions later. Click "Authorize". This will make the bot receive all the permissions that they asked you to confirm.

 

Step 6. Completing the Captcha Challenge

After authorizing the bot, you now need to complete a captcha challenge to prove that you're not a bot. Put a check on the box and complete the channel then you're good to go. You will be prompted that you can close or refresh the tab now.

 

Step 7. Marriage Bot Successfully Invited

You will then be prompted that you have successfully invited the bot into your server.

 

Marriage Bot Commands

After inviting the bot to your server, you need to know all the commands that you can use. You can use the command by using the slash (/) commands.

• /marry @User#1231: This command lets you propose to another user. They can, of course, then deny your proposal, but that's unimportant
• /divorce: This does the opposite of the marry command, as you can imagine. It opens you back up to the dating pool.
• /adopt @User#1231: Lets you try and adopt the mentioned user.
• /makeparent @User#1231: Asks the person to be your parent. This will further restrict you from the dating pool, but makes your fake family trees look cooler.
• /disown @User#1231: Lets you to disown one of your children.
• /emancipate @User#1231: The equivelant of running away from home. Removes your parent.
• /partner [@User#1231]: Shows who the someone's partner is. Defaults to yourself.
• /parent [@User#1231]: Shows who the someone's parent is. Defaults to yourself.
• /relationship @User#1231 [@User2#4564]: Shows you the relationship beteween the two given users (or the first user and yourself).
• /familysize [@User#1231]: Gives you the amount of people in your family tree.
• /tree [@User#1231]: Shows your family tree of blood relatives. Defaults to yourself. The bot needs to be able to send images to do this.
• /bloodtree [@User#1231]: Shows you your entire family tree - non-blood relatives included. Defaults to yourself. The bot needs to be able to send images to do this.
• /children: Tells you who your children are.
• /block [@User#1231]: Blocks a user from being able to adopt/makeparent/etc you.
• /disownall: Disown all of your children
• /familysize: Gives you the size of your family tree.
