I got Yelp for where to go/avoid after moving to CA. I never thought I'd leave a review but after my interaction last Friday, I wanted to shed a little light despite all the complaints about customer service here. I'm usually a little anxious about being in new places and had never really been in the store since I always order, plus I have a disability that makes me walk a little slower than most. So I'm sure I looked a bit silly wandering around. A really tall guy with long hair and glasses worked there, I think his name started with an A or D. He was an absolute godsend and was extremely patient with me. He looked at my list to give me a bit of direction after coming up to me and offering help. The cashier that rang me up was very cordial as well, not super chatty but it had just hit noon so I don't blame her lol. She gave me all the answers I could have needed and even cracked a joke despite how busy it was. I just genuinely felt welcomed there and was allotted patience that not a lot of places around here afford me. I will absolutely be returning!

I'm giving 2 stars bc I've been here before and the employees were friendly. I came here with my boyfriend the other day and when we went to check out a young Hispanic kid rang us up. He didn't look or say a word to us. I wasn't sure if we enter a phone number to get the member price or they scan something. I asked and he ignored me. He continued to scan all of our items and not look or say a word to us. The only thing he did was blow a bubble w his gum. He didn't ask if we needed any bags so we stood their waiting until we realized he wasn't going to talk to us at all. We had to bag our own groceries (which isn't a big deal but the fact he hadn't said anything I wasn't sure what was going on). He proceeds to scan a clip board and I ask if I should type in my number for the discount. He says nothing again and does not acknowledge me, but I see a input number notification on the screen. I enter my number multiple times and nothing happens (bc he already scanned something to activate the member discounts). He prints a receipt, hands my bf that and our change rudely with no eye contact. Some of the changed dropped bc he gave it so rudely he still didn't say a word. We say thank you and he turns his back and proceeds to ring the next person (with no acknowledgement to them either). I'm glad I moved to an area where the grocery employees are more helpful and friendly. I won't be back to shop here when I'm in the area.
