Just a few days ago, Marcus Mariota re-worked his contract with the Raiders, returning on a one-year deal worth only $3.5 million. It’s pretty notable considering he was expected to make north of $10 million this upcoming season. However, he could learn a lot more money based on incentives.

As more details emerge from his new contract, one big one is the fact that he has a no-trade clause in the deal.

With Mariota likely not winning the starting job, he still finds himself in a pretty valuable position. Still, he wants complete control, as he can control where he’d get traded to if the opportunity presented itself. It’s also not every day you see a no-trade clause in NFL contracts.
