Marco Rubio: I Haven't Given Much Thought To Being Donald Trump's Running Mate

Sen. Marco Rubio talks about whether he would serve as Donald Trump's running mate in 2024 as this report from Marc Caputo suggests is on the former president's mind, during a conversation with RCP Washington bureau chief Carl Cannon on Wednesday's edition of the RealClearPolitics radio show on SiriusXM.

"I've never talked to Donald Trump about it, I never met with his campaign to discuss this, and I have also been through this before," Rubio said. "It is part of the parlor game. There's no mystery left with the presidential race, so now political reporters have to write about the next big inflection point, which is the VP choices."


"I'll be 53 this month, I just learned some issues are best dealt with when they're in front of you, and not to waste a lot of time on things that may never exist," Rubio said.
