This is a beautiful tower that was built around 1200 to protect the medieval wooden bridge that once stand at its side in Konstanz. It is made of stones and wood and it is 35 ms tall.

From the tower there is a beautiful view of the Rhine River and the new bridge which the tower still protects.

The Rhine Gate Tower, together with two other gates that are still there, represents the only defensive structures preserved from the medieval time. There are other buildings in the old town, but this defensive structures are very interesting and surround what was the medieval town.

It´s possible to visit inside the tower, but we didn´t have the time to come back.

In any case, it was a nice walk along the towers and lots of learning about them.
