Amazing national artistic garden! Palm trees ranging from 1890 onwards!! We’ll kept gardens, beautiful surrounding area in the heart of a very busy town! Gem hidden amongst the city! Only issue is there’s no parking anywhere. Best parking was on the outskirts of town near the hospital. Short walk in. Small shop at the end of the gardens, great value for money. A must see

So many palm trees :) The park is beautiful, tranquil and well maintained. The part north of the Avenida felt much nicer and less touristy. Don't miss the dragon!

Excellent interesting museum in the historic quarter. Modern displays and interpretation, in Spanish and English. Entry only 3€ for seniors. Well worth a visit to understand the history of the area.

Consistently the best food in Elche in the past 8 years. Fresh, good fish cooked the right way, a superb croqueta de gambas, and generally a different level from everything else in town.

Brilliant hidden treasure outside of the city center. Great tasting as well as a la karte menus. Wine list is extensive. Friendly staff are kind and attentive; uber helpful with recommendations 😊 a definite seasonal come back 💪🇪🇸

Bordering on fine dining, La Musa de Velarde serves creatively designed dishes that are pretty to behold and wonderfully appealing. Our family of four ordered fried green tomatoes, Musa meat pastry (made with candied beef cheek, sweet peppers and pomegranate caviar) and veg wrapped roll as starters -- all a feast to the eyes and a treat for the taste buds. For mains, we ordered the house burger and steak loin. Burger was tastefully cooked, nestled in soft and fluffy buns. The steak were delicious, tender and sumptuously moist, albeit portions were too small compared to its gastronomic taste! All in all, the food we had was delightful, elegant, made with a certain level of sophistication. The ingredients are well matched and perfectly formed. For this kind of food, we thought the prices were higher than average but justified.

We visited Elche for the first time 3 days ago and ate here. the food was fantastic, the glazed octopus delicious and the hamburgers excellent, a very nice boy and a very friendly girl attended us in English, excellent facilities, and very good service. The price is good in relation to the food. we will come back again.

The place is located nearby the museum where you can take a quick nice tour inside, then head for your lunch/dinner. The atmosphere is cosy, and the food is amazing and recommended to visit. Great burgers with proper ground beef. Good pizzas, nice to have an individual size of pizza. Beer came with a chilled glass, a detail that counts. Nice and friendly staff.

We visited on a Thursday evening to celebrate my birthday, and it was the perfect choice. Recommended in the Michelin Guide, this is a classy restaurant, and was busy - and buzzing - when we arrived for our 20:45 table. Our table for two was large and comfortable for a relaxed meal. We started with chipirones which, with added garnish of garlic and nora peppers, were the best I’ve ever had. The main course was a nicely aged steak from an aged cow with foie gras and port sauce It was cooked perfectly medium rare and presented superbly on the plate. It ate tremendously too. A rare pudding was chosen, a twin-chocolate fondant with ice cream - oozing and luxurious. A perfect indication of the quality of the restaurant and its staff was my partner’s decision to leave the choice of dry white wine to the wine waiter as the wine menu was just too big to navigate. While there were literally hundreds of more-expensive options a lesser establishment might have delivered, the 25 euro bottle he brought was perfect for the occasion. Fabulous food and drink in luxurious surroundings.
