Resilient Pharmaceutical Systems for Better Health USAID MTaPS Nepal convened the partners, including USAID and government counterparts, in a closeout event on January 22, 2024,
to celebrate the joint achievements in strengthening Nepal’s pharmaceutical system, instituting global best practices in the public and
private sectors, and containing antimicrobial resistance. As an implementer of USAID’s mandate, the MTaPS Program is proud to have
partnered with Nepal to implement life-saving initiatives toward building resilient pharmaceutical systems for better health outcomes.

As we celebrate UHC Day on December 12, it is important to stress that a pharmaceutical system's components
are interconnected, and each component must function well to support the overall system. By taking a holistic
approach that builds on existing structures, MTaPS supports countries in building resilient pharmaceutical
systems that contribute toward achieving health for all.

Resilient Pharmaceutical Systems for Better Health After two and a half years of successful collaboration, MTaPS hosted a closeout event on December 6, 2023 to mark
the end of our work in Indonesia. The event was well-attended by partners representing USAID, the Government of Indonesia,
and other stakeholders. Along with several other partners, the USAID MTaPS Program has worked with MOH Indonesia
to achieve resilient pharmaceutical systems for better health outcomes.

Resilient Pharmaceutical Systems for Better Health On November 28, 2023, MTaPS and partners representing USAID, the Government of Ethiopia, and
other stakeholders commemorated the end of the Ethiopia USAID MTaPS program and celebrated the
program's accomplishments in a successful, well-attended closeout event.

MTaPS Commemorates World AMR Week 2023 Every year the world comes together from November 18-24 to commemorate
World AMR Awareness Week. This year’s theme is “Preventing AMR Together”,
and the WHO calls for collaboration across sectors to preserve the efficacy of
critical antimicrobial medicines. MTaPS supports Global Health Security Agenda
target countries to advance USAID’s AMR action package-related objectives.
