Northern California is currently suffering from some of the worst wildfires the state has ever seen, including the ongoing Mendocino Fire, which is now the largest fire in recorded history. (Although not one the most destructive fires, as those are separate statistics).

We will continue to update this map of active fire incidents as a quick and reliable reference for firefighting efforts statewide.

This information reflects the most recent updates from Cal Fire and other firefighting apparatus. Note that fire locations on the map are approximate and based on nearest specific landmarks.

So far, 2018 fires have mostly spared the Bay Area, with only a few minor flare-ups in the region that were contained mostly without incident.

This map also does not reflect fires ongoing in the most southern regions of the state. Consult Curbed LA for fire conditions in and around Southern California.
