The Most Controversial Game Ever!
5 Stars
The Most Controversial Game Ever!
Rockstar Games released probably the most controversial video game of all time. And possibly the most gut wrenching game of the 21st Century. Manhunt is a game based on the idea of a dog eat dog society. The graphics were okay for its time but still 2004 was hard as hell being a teenager playing this game. It's not a horror game per se' but it's definitely a game that will frighten you if you're not use to the violence on free-for-all level. Due to the controversy surrounding the game, I won't describe exactly how the game plays. This is one of those games that you have to play and enjoy in private. I was 14 when I played this game and you're supposed to be 17 or older (Mature), and I'm not going to front like I didn't get a lil afraid of the game when I played it...the suspense of hide and seek. I'm now an adult and purchased this game again and still this game brings back old memories and still shocks the hell outta you when you see what has been done. James Earl Cash, the protagonist is probably the least innocent guy in the game, but you would naturally understand why he has to do what he does because of being watched and coerced by a "Director" named Starkweather (who"s name draw comparison to the real Starkweather murder spree case). CASH is only eliminating others to survive from not being killed himself. In a philosophical sense, we are similar to James Earl Cash. We are all unconsciously stepping on one another to survive in this capitalistic country of America while being watched and coerced by the Government (The Directors). In that sense we could see why Rockstar's storyline is brilliant. I really want this game to have a sequel but a much more deeper Storyline with James Earl Cash returning... hopefully America don't be on that bull-ish, you know this game pretty much was challenged by Congress and banned in other countries. Video Games do not create problems, problems have already existed before these games were released, the game is only holding up a mirror to what has already happened in real life on the remote areas of the world in past history. This is most certainly not a game you should let any teenager play. It should be for Mature audiences only. That is those who are Mature enough to handle the gameplay and know that all of this is for entertainment, it's just a game. This game is 5 Stars...and to the creators of the Grand Theft Auto series, please bring us MANHUNT 3!!! 🔥🔥
