Mamas And The Papas* – Live in 1982

Why is this filed under the "Live in 1982" album? The tracklist is completely different.

I love The Mamas and The Papas but this album has weird recordings. I expected the real good radio recordings.

As it appears, this seems to be half of a concert from the early 80's and is disapointing to me because it lacks much of the vibrant and lively qualities of the original songs. I read some place not even all the original band members are present. Besides all that, it is still nice to have a live recording of this music. It would have been nice if Kpoint had put in just that extra bit of information.

The recording itself sounds a bit dull, unlike some of Kpoint's other releases.

As stated on back of CD: Original Artists, but New Recordings. It's unknown when they were recorded though. The CD ID number is also used on the album "The Mamas & The Papas - Greatest Hits" which was released in 2000. "(c) 1995 Digimode Ltd. CD-ID = GP 25002" according to the software I use.

A deep, crushing disappointment. The recording is distant from the group and sounds like a bootleg. The band sounds woefully bad and under-rehearsed. To make matters worse, many of the songs are incomplete. Do not bother.

The first 6 songs are M&P alright and then what happens: New Mamas & Papas aka Mackenzie Phillips and Spanky McFarlane. Red Onion Records, what the hell?
