We called to Lily Langtree yesterday, what a nice place with lovely friendly owners. We had the fish chips and peas special and the Burger chips onion rings for €7.95 each, fantastic value for very generous portions, which were beautifully presented. We, 50s couple, had a great welcome from John and Martin who couldn't do enough for us. The bar itself is much bigger than you initially think; inside is tastefully decorated as an homage to Lillie Langtry and outside there's a large sun terrace decked...out with greenery and a large water feature that makes this place an oasis of calm in busy Benalmadena. It's a great place to chill out. Best of all is the food. High quality, but reasonably priced, food is served daily and includes a wide variety of freshly prepared meals including hearty pub classics and pizzas, it's delicious and the portions are plentiful. After finding this bar, we had a meal there every day. Tuesday night was quiz and bingo night and John was a great host, full of fun. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Lillie Langtry's and can't recommend it highly enough. Best wishes CarlMore

Booked a table for last Friday and were really excited to go after reading the reviews. Arrived and the host didn't have us on the list despite booking but after 5 mins they managed to just accommodate us. Ordered food just before 7pm and waited....Thought we were in good time to have food before the quiz started at 8pm, restaurant was very quiet only 3 tables seated when we ordered. By 8pm the restaurant was full for the quiz but no food. Queried with one of the owners very politely just how long they thought it would be and was told, 'we are full what do u expect' no other discussion to be had. I appreciate they were busy and knew it may be a wait but that attitude and rudeness was not really appreciated. Dinner arrived 1 hour 15mins after order and was nice enough so it was ashame for it to be tarnished with poor service. Tried to order drinks when owner was going round tables but was told his visit was only to sell bingo tickets and for quiz sign ups. Place only seemed concerned with regulars not new customers which was a shame. Genuinely felt they really didn't care about our custom which is not the feeling we got when visiting other restaurants and pubs in the area. Thought long and hard about posting this review given how hard this time is for everyone but politeness and good customer service do not cost anything.More

Entrance to Bar is down a dilapidated and virtually derelict lane. Outside seating area has all the charm of a large garden shed and lack of charm is a feature throughout. We arrived 10 late for 7pm and only one table occupied. We waited well...over an hour for food and when queried first with waitress she told us it was our fault as we arrived late for 7.30 booking.Mine host then appeared and told us that kitchen was understaffed but we arrived late and took too long to order. He was clearly from the Basil Fawlty school of customer service o apologies! Strangely enough there was no delay ordering drinks or buying bingo cards. By the time our food arrived Bingo had started,oh such ambience. Food was average and the most expensive bill in 10 nights eating out in the resort and easily the least enjoyable.More

Lillie Langtry is an excellent British pub on Av.Antonio Machado that offers a superb food and drinks range and is a pub which we have visited many times. This excellent pub has a really nice interior with nice furnishing's and decor and plenty of good...seating area's throughout the pub interior and a great terrace that overlooks Av.Antonio Machado. This was the last pub we went to before we went back to our hotel.As it was really late we only had a couple of bottle's of Mahou Clásica a superb Spanish beer which were served iced cold and very well priced. Lillie Langtry is a pub I always enjoy visiting whenever I'm in Benalmadena, a pub that always offers a friendly welcome. I love the look of this pub ,cosy sums it up best, lovely decor and furnishings, tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of...seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside in their courtyard out back, its a fantastic pub. We were here on a Friday night, pub was busy with a great atmosphere, we got bottles of Mahou red, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. My beer was really good, Mahou red is such a light, hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer bursting with taste, perfect for the hot climate out here in Spain, its a beer I really enjoy. We really enjoyed our beers in here, only stayed for the one each before moving on and as on previous visits to Lillie Langtry Pub we had a great time. Lillie Lantry Pub is easy to locate along Avenida Antonio Machado, up a hill along Avenida De La Telefonica. Most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.More

We came to this bar twice during our week stay. The first time we went looking for a bar and Lillie's came up on Trip Advisor so we google mapped it and walked from the Marina. You could so easily walk past it from the...front as you have to go up the stairs, but honestly you HAVE to go in! We arrived just before the start of the quiz and they managed to find a table for four of us. We only intended to go in for one drink, but three hours later we leave, having done the quiz, bingo and play your cards right! It was such a good evening of family fun that we mentioned it to the rest of the group (10 of us in total) and booked a table for the following evening. They managed to fit us in and we arrived at 6:30pm for food before the evening entertainment got going. Nearly all 10 of us had different things to eat and it all came out really quickly and everyone cleared their plates. You could tell it was all home made! Also very reasonably priced, all the meals were under 10 euros. The staff couldn't do enough for you, always coming round to ask about drinks or if they can get you anything and the atmosphere is buzzing, but always family friendly, there isn't any bad language or anything. Over 6 hours later (!) we head back to our villa. We are a family group with an age range of 8 - 80 and everyone said it was the best night of the holiday. The owners obviously know what they are doing, the whole evening had such a welcoming and fun feel, you felt like you were round for dinner! If you are in the area for a holiday, you HAVE to go to Lillie's but make sure you book to avoid disappointment! Just brilliant!More

Great atmosphere. Family friendly pub. Serve homemade fresh cooked food low prices. Staff are so friendly and make everyone laugh. Best bar in benalmadena for fun night out.

Just read a couple negative reports. I'l explain a few things . I'm not connected with the place. First of all the bar is open all year round and used by many ex pats as well as lovely tourists. The booking system is in place...and gives everyone a fair chance. From 8pm The place is full. Not like a normal pub in the evening. There's a set format, your welcomed and shown to your table or you can request a particular table in advance. The bar owner will then come round and sell bingo tickets,give you a fun quiz sheet, which lasts over 2hours. While your sitting you can request food from the menu. The place is very clean and run by publicans. I cant believe negative feed back because you didn't get in How many bars can you walk past and there's no tables available?. The food and Bar service is superb. The rear terrace is a sun trap with padded seats and nice tables. There's table service so your not up and down all night standing in a queue at the Bar, just give one of the great staff a wink and they're over in a shot. If you go to eat, you should try the 2 person sharing combo @€10 with dips or the Sunday dinner..More

Even though we were staying in a nearby hotel half board, after 3 nights of receiving monotonous evening meals we decided on our 4th night to have dinner in Lillie's. The food was cooked fresh, pipping hot and huge portions. we ate here for the...rest of our stay. Currently sat in Lillie's after reading the reviews on here, they were not wrong. The hosts are both so friendly and welcoming The food was lovely, all freshly made and so much of it, only went in for a snack! Evening menus also home cooked...and freshly made. Location is a bit strange to get to opposite the TUI Blu Riviera up the hill 20 yards then right. You will not be sorry. Give it a try you will NOT regret it.More

An excellent score isn’t quite enough! I am really annoyed to have only visited just before heading home but we will certainly be back numerous times on every trip here. John & Martin are FABULOUS hosts! You couldn’t have had a warmer & more attentive...welcome, and throughout your stay, they make this place. The food is the best in the area by far!! We really enjoyed our meals, fresh, perfectly cooked, extremely tasty & beautifully presented. If you like gin there is an amazing variety of choice. The location is fab, and the balcony looking out to sea is just lovely. I would highly recommend Lillie Langtry!More
