- Marc NBartlesville, Oklahoma935 contributionsWorth a repeat visitWe went two days- one for the water park and one for the theme park. There was something for everyone. Many of the rides had height requirements to enter. My only complaint was the extra charge for parking. Arrive and pay $20 at the gate to park. Buy in advance and you still wait in line plus end up paying almost $27 with the "convenience fee"Marc, thank you for your review. - Diane324 contributionsGreat place to go for family fun!Very fun place with lots to do! Only down falls is everything closes with rain or slightest weather. The pools and water areas are not cleaned well. Food prices are high with the exception of the hotdog, nacho pick up place.Diane, thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your visit. However, we understand your disappointment regarding the impact of bad weather on the park, but unfortunately, we have no control over it. Safety is our highest priority, therefore we sometimes we have to make unpopular decisions. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at info@magicsprings.com. - PresidentsTraveler118 contributionsWater park is great: Theme park-not so muchIf you love water parks, this place is for you. I felt the water park was the best thing about it; unfortunately, not everyone in my group likes water parks. We went there for the theme park, but many of the rides were not operating. Within the span of a few hours, there were four rides that we could not get on because they were closed. Thankfully, Big Bad John was operating. I had read that it used to be Thunder Express at Dollywood 25 years ago. It was a nostalgic favorite of mine. It was not as thrilling as I remembered it as a child, but I enjoyed it.Hello, Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the park. However, we share your disappointment regarding the unavailability of some rides. In order to keep our guests informed, we always provide updates on attractions at the top of the FAQs page on our website. - TByrd7 contributionsMagic Memories MadeWe took our grandchildren for the day and wanted to say how much we appreciate your diligence in keeping Magic Springs open. I can’t imagine how difficult it is in this day & age. We have frequented this park when we were teenagers and later on in life with our three young children, so taking our two grands was momentous! It was the best day! The park was clean & had adequate lifeguards in the water park areas. Yes, there is obvious age and wear and tear & not everything was open…but we so appreciate all you do. Thank you! Also, kudos to your staff who were obviously well trained and kept everyone’s safety in mind. We noticed. Thanks again for your hard work in allowing us to still enjoy the magic of Magic Springs!💦🎠🎢Thank you for your outstanding review! We're thrilled to hear that you had an incredible experience at Magic Springs theme and water park. Our rides, slides, and thrilling attractions are designed to provide maximum fun for everyone. Then after the rides we went to the wonderful water park which cooled us down. I ordered my tickets online for $59.99 per person. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!!Thank you for your review. - Dane W1 contributionGreat venue for a concertMy wife and I saw Tesla in June at the amphitheater there, which is a great place to enjoy music. The major and puzzling drawback was that there was only one station that served beer, so you had to wait about 40 minutes in line to get one because there were lots of people in attendance. This was unlike previous concerts we have been to where they had about 3 stations or so, and it was painless. Not sure what the deal was that show, but it was pretty ridiculous seeing the unused stations with that many people there. Other than that, it was great!Thank you for sharing your experience at Magic Springs. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the music and the venue. We have a fantastic concert lineup this season, and concerts are FREE with a one-day admission or season pass! We appreciate your feedback, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon!Written August 10, 2023This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited June 2023Written August 9, 2023
- Colleen Laurie G1 contributionThe Good, the Bad, but no UglyThe bad: waited in line at the bumper cars for an hour and then a family was able to enter through the back way and cut in front of everyone because they had a "special pass". I have searched all over online and can not find any such thing. Is this for the rich and famous only? Once again the boat swing was not operational. The good: The haunted house was awsome. I am a little surprised though that they go by height instead of age on that one. I saw way too many traumatized very young kids. I'm talking like 5 year-olds, maybe even younger. The coffee shop is awsome. The Mexican restaurant is good.Colleen, thank you for sharing your recent visit to Magic Springs with us. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced during your visit. To stay updated on attractions, we always provide the latest information at the top of the FAQs page on our website. However, we are delighted that you were able to savor a delicious Mexican bite at Trejos in the Park and enjoy some fresh coffee at Mug Shots. We're also glad to hear that you had an amazing experience at The Wasteland Haunted House, our spooky attraction that transports you to an abandoned, post-apocalyptic world—a must-see for thrill-seekers. Thanks for your feedback, and we hope to see you again for Magic Screams!Written October 19, 2023This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 16, 2023
- Charli BDenver, Colorado1 contributionTon of fun, make a day of itI go here with my brother and his daughter. We love the concerts and the swimming. We usually make a whole day of it. We buy the annual passes which give us free access to the concerts, any of them! My brothers son and girlfriend love the rides, especially the roller coasters.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten March 3, 2024

Got tickets online. Stood in line in parking lot to get in, in the very hot sun. A bus full of people that just arrived were allowed to cut in line and go through in front of everyone that had stood and waited. Booked a deluxe cabana for $195 and paid $10 extra for a 5th person. Asked for an additional bottle of water for the 5th person and was denied. Had to purchase lunch and paid $60 for 2 cheeseburgers/fries, 2 chicken nuggets/fries and 4 drinks. Food was not warm and when 1 chicken basket was taken back because it was cold, found out they hadn't turned on the warmer. Many of the rides were not running and had to wait in line for the limited innertubes that were being used at the rides that were open. What's the difference between waiting in line with your inner tube to ride or waiting in line for an inner tube? It cost a lot of money for what we got.

I took my kids for the first time ever to experience the water park at Magic Springs (they hate rides and were just interested in water park). I ordered all tickets online @ $59 a piece my kids are tall so had to buy adult ticket for my 8 year old. Bought parking online. Ordering online was awesome. However online hey do not tell you that half the attractions are not available because they are short staffed.
We spend about $300 for a wave pool and a lazy river. Waste of money. It’ll this was our test run. If this experience would have been great, we would buy passes next year. We definitely won’t be back, I’m sad to say. We really hoped to have a fun time.
The Surfing Ride was not working or not staffed so my son’s heart was broken.
Icee vending booths not open. Long lines, heat, no chance of refreshment in the form of water or cold treats.
Please improve this for future attendees.

We got there around 4PM for their October “Magic Screams” event. We went straight to our favorite ride, The Gauntlet. The line was very long and was moving very slow. No wonder. The ride had twenty seats but they only filled 10. Sometimes there were 9 because of a single, and sometimes there were only 8 because of 2 singles. Really?? Make the 2 singles sit together and let another couple on. We waited in line for over an hour and finally made it to the loading gate. The run before us was loaded and locked in, and we were next. Then the restraints were suddenly unlocked and the people were offloaded because of lightning in the area. We never saw lightning or even heard thunder, but they shut down ALL of the thrill rides. We paid $20 for parking and $130 for three tickets and didn’t get to ride a single ride. No refunds. No rain checks. $150 to stand in a line for over an hour and not ride a single ride. What a rip-off. We will never EVER go back.

If you love staring at closed rides and waterslides, waiting in long lines for the 10% of the park that is actually open, and paying full price for admission then this place is for you!
My family of 5 & I went here on 8/4/22. After we spent over $200 on admission & parking, we quickly discovered that almost all of the park was closed "due to staffing." I actually thought that maybe we had just arrived early and maybe the park wasn't open yet, but that was not the case. Almost all of the rides and waterslides were closed, and of the rides that were open they were not running anywhere near full capacity. For example, they were only running 2 of the Model T cars (that run on rails) even though there were another 10 cars sitting unused on the side. On the Hawk (upside-down ride), they were only filling 12 of the 40 available seats. I asked about this...One person said it was "due to staffing" and the other said it was "due to extreme heat that could break the rides." Of course all of the $5-$10 games are fully staffed and were completely empty of customers the whole day.
More than half of the waterpark was also closed including all of the toddler areas. The wave pool closed for about 30 minutes every 2 hours because someone pooped in the pool. Almost all of the waterslides were closed. The few slides that were open had extremely long lines since there was really nothing else for people to ride.
This was a huge disappointment especially since the park had no problem charging full price for admission. If more than 10% of the place had been open then this would have been a fantastic experience. The employees told me that most of the park has been closed all summer and even on busy Saturdays the same rides are closed. A local told me that it has been like this all summer.
I can see why a season pass is only $19.99 more than a day pass....Because no one would ever make the mistake of going to this park more than once. Maybe it will be better someday if they can find staff and open more than 10% of the park.

3 people to walk around 30 minutes-$250
Rain policy changes once you pay, you must stand in rain for one hour to receive rain check tickets. Lockers are expensive and not refunded because “it’s a third party”, parking however is all them, but they choose not to refund parking($20). Management can obviously careless if you return. Lots of rides are broken and if it drizzles everything is shut down and you are forced to sit there until they decide to work with you, on some things but definitely not all. Very bad business practices, they extracted alot out of me in less than an hour. I will not be supporting these criminals again.

Very disappointed with Magic Springs. We arrived only to find 3 roller coasters closed, lazy river closed, entire Chill section of the water park also closed. We were told they could not find enough staff to open everything up. They did not tell us this last week when we called and purchased season tickets to attend multiple days in hot springs. We have better water options with the hotel pool. No mention of any closures on the website.

We allowed our group of teen boys to spend their summer job money on what was supposed to be a fun day trip to Magic Springs only to arrive to find very few rides operating including not one roller coasters functioning. The only exception was a couple of kiddie rides... not very fun for teens boys to ride a marry go round - but there was nothing left to do. We had planned for them to grab a bite to eat for lunch while there were there, however, the majority food stations were not open either. We purchased the tickets and parking pass online - nowhere online was there notice of the possibly of 75% of the park not operating. Tickets are non-refundable. Biggest waste of money. Disappointed kids and parents. We will not be back.

All in all, we had fun. A couple of the rides were not opened the day we went. It wasn’t too crowded, thankfully, because wait times would’ve been horrible due to covid regulations. We did not encounter rude staff, the were helpful when we asked questions. The wave pool was nice for a hot day. The hours are short (11:00-6:00). Make sure you bring lots of money because everything is expensive! Small lockers are $11 for the day, parking is $15, drinks are $4.25, food is ridiculous. I don’t think we got our money’s worth, but my child had a lot of fun, so I guess we did!

Our family includes children at 1, 3, and 12 years of age. We get to the water park ready to have an amazing time at Splash Island, but it is CLOSED?!! Bummer! Bummed out about Splash Island and the tubes ($10 each) not being included in the admission price, we go to one of the pools. There we are hassled about "unspoken rules" that certain floatation devices weren't allowed. As a protector, my babies were in "baby" floats they could safely "sit" in. The guard stated several times that the floats weren't allowed mostly because of marketing. Well, I have no patience for such crap. Seeing that there was a conflict of interest between the safety of my babies and the marketing of their $10 floats, I demanded a refund of all tickets and parking. The guard laughed when I told him I was going to get a refund. Well I got it... I guess the yolk is on your face Mr. Life guard man.
Unsatisfied with products and services, get your money back! It is unfair for consumers to have to pay full price for less than full products! But for this place to ask you to pay more for needed equipment- the nerve of you!!!!!

We received a half price discount ($25 per ticket + parking) ahead of time for gov't employees. I also know you can get the same price for military and veterans. Full price was way out of our budget and glad we did the research before hand. Good luck!

Are all the rides included in admission price or is there additional charges? Also, do they sever alcohol here
Yes one admission gets you access to both the Theme & Water Park activities.
Do magic springs have family dressing rooms and bathrooms
We do not offer family changing areas. Changing rooms are segregated by sex.
Is there discount tickets besides Groupon?
