Madrid Airport Terminal Information

There are 4 terminals; T1, T2 and T3 and T4. On the whole, international flights depart from T1. Domestic flights from T2; and T3 operates regional flights. Although there are some exceptions. Click here to view more detailed information regarding flights and their respective terminals.


Duty Free

Our Insider Tip

If you need medical attention whilst at the airport, ask your airline to fax a request detailing your needs to the following number.
Tel: +34 91 746 6112. And there is a Personalised Customer Care Service for Passengers with Visual Impairments. The service means that flight departure information is sent to you via your mobile or a phone provided by the airport. You must request the service before your day of travel, or when checking in.


Arrivals

International arrivals are mostly at T1, except for some Iberia and Air Europa flights (which will be at T2). You will find domestic arrivals at T2, and regional arrivals at T3.

A taxi is a comfortable and direct way of traveling into to city centre. The journey is around 20 - 25 minutes, subject to traffic, and costs about  to the city centre.

Madrid Airport EMT Bus service
The EMT buses are easy to spot

EMT Bus

There are 2 standard bus services that run from the airport to either the Avda. De América, or Canillejas. The 200 stops for De America stops at T1, T2 and T3. The 204 service leavest from T4 for Avd. De América.

metroMetro (Underground / Subway system)

The airport falls within zone A of the metro, and line number 8 leaves directly from the first floor of T2. The journey time to the city centre is around 45 minutes, although you will have to change lines to go right to the centre. You can change at the Mar de Cristal station onto line 4. Or stay on line 8 until Nuevos Ministerios, and from here change onto line 10. Both these lines take you to Alonso Martínez station, where you can jump onto line 2 down to Gran Via in the centre.

Other Airports in Madrid

Torrejón and Cuatro Vientos are also airports in Madrid, but are not used by the general public. Cuatro Vientos is a centre for military use. A flying school is run from this airport. Torrejón airport is used for executive and private aviation.
