Fury Road Question
I always found the Bullet Farmer to be kind of interesting, anybody have any idea how he was taken out?
Was there a sequence filmed that was cut in the film?
All we see is Max runoff and then there is an explosion and then Max returns with blood on him…any theories?
It was never shown in any version of the script how Max did it, but at one point the concept art showed the aftermath for a brief moment and it was brutal. I guess that's why they decided to take it out.
Was it in the story board?
Not in the Mel Gibson one that I've seen, it plays out just like the movie. I think that it's just the kind of thing that they put in so that the audience can imagine just how dangerous Max really is.
Nope, not in the script, but in Brendan McCarthy's early electroboard drawings.
Is there anywhere we can find that brutal concept?
Probably on McCarthy's Twitter if hasn't blocked you :) I'd post it in a comment if I knew how.
Makes sense. I just always wondered if it was cut for pacing, or they took it out because it seemed better left to the imagination
I wonder if there were loose plans to show what happened in a potential sequel where the Bullet Farmer was a larger focus.
They simply had a calm and peaceful discussion over a cup of chamomile tea and at the end of it the Bullet Farmer decided to go off home. Max then tripped into a bucket of red paint on his way back to the truck.
Hahaha. There’s no cut sequence. The way it was portrayed in the film was purposeful. Bullet farmer served maxs character and relationship with the others. Perfect scene
