Macaulay Culkin and girlfriend Brenda Song are parents.
The couple welcomed their first child together, son Dakota Song Culkin, on April 5 in Los Angeles, a rep for Culkin announced Monday.
“We’re overjoyed,” the couple said in a statement.
Baby Dakota weighed in at 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and is named in honor of Culkin’s late sister Dakota, who died in 2008 at age 29 from her injuries after she was struck by a car.
Esquire was first to report the arrival of Culkin and Song’s first child.
Last February, Culkin spoke to Esquire about his desire to have a family with Song, his girlfriend of four years.
“We practice a lot,” the 40-year-old actor quipped. “We’re figuring it out, making the timing work. Because nothing turns you on more than when your lady comes into the room and says, ‘Honey, I’m ovulating.’”
Culkin and Song, 33, are also proud pet parents to multiple animals, including two cats, a fish, a dog and a bird.
Song, who has appeared in “The Social Network” and the ABC TV drama “Station 19,” previously gushed to Esquire about her relationship with Culkin.
“You can’t be around him and not be happy,” she said.
As Culkin and Song’s joyous news spread across social media, the Twitterverse had plenty to say about the new parents, namely their former on-screen personas.
“If you had told 10 year old me that london tipton and kevin mccalister would have a child together one day i would’ve been so shocked,” one fan wrote of Song’s “Suite Life of Zack & Cody” character, London Tipton, and Culkin’s Kevin McCallister of the “Home Alone” franchise.
“What do you mean the child actor from home alone grew up to have a baby with london tipton from the suite life,” another tweeted.
“LONDON TIPTON AND Macaulay Culkin has a child… i need one moment,” one user tweeted.
Prior to his romance with Song, Culkin dated Mila Kunis for eight years before their relationship ended in 2011.
Culkin also married actress Rachel Miner in 1998 but the pair separated two years later.
Culkin isn’t the only first-time dad in his family. In September 2019, brother Kieran Culkin, who plays Roman Roy on HBO’s “Succession,” welcomed a baby with his wife, Jazz Charton.
