Bayern returned to the top of the Bundesliga with victory over Hertha Berlin

Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman scored as Bayern Munich beat Hertha Berlin to reclaim the top spot in the Bundesliga.

Gnabry's diving header opened the scoring following Joshua Kimmich's clever dinked-through ball.

Kimmich provided another assist with an excellent ball which Coman slotted past Hertha goalkeeper Manuel Riemann.

Borussia Dortmund, who drew 1-1 with relegation-threatened VfL Bochum on Friday, are now a point behind the leaders.

Anthony Losilla gave VfL Bochum the lead after five minutes with Karim Adeyemi levelling soon afterwards for Dortmund, putting Bayern back in the driving seat with four games to go.

Dortmund are vying to win the Bundesliga for the first time since 2012.

    This season's Bundesliga is, in fact, one of the most exciting for a good number of years. The fact that Bayern are being pressed by Dortmund, who are only one point behind, is a healthy sign that it is, at last, becoming more competitive. Add teams like Union Berlin and Freiburg into the equation, and I reckon that it's only going to get better. Shame about Hertha BSC this season though!

      The only reason it's close, is because Byern have been poor this season, due to mainly, Lewandowski not being replaced by a proper striker, because Mane is certainly not a replacement, even when he was at his best 🤣

    It's not a 1 horse race in the Bundesliga. Dortmund are only 1 point behind than Bayern. Union Berlin were doing terrific pre - world cup, with leading the table. But have only recently dropped in the table and are only 6 points behind the leaders. As well as mathematically in the title race

    Munich have been very disappointing this season especially Musiala. Last season he was brilliant and this season he has been very poor. With Munich struggling allows for a more competitive league this season and it would be nice if Dortmund wins it.

    Really want Freiburg to hold off Leipzig and get that Champions League place. I went to a game when they were in the German 2nd division and to think they are now this close to Europe's top table (and after a decent campaign in the Europa League only ended by Juventus in the quarters) is such a brilliant story.

    People think the french league is the a farmers league. The Bundesliga is a Joke now, what will it be 11 in a row? no wonder why no one cares about it anymore. they came back from their winter break and literally no one outside of germany even realised it was back until 2 weeks later.
    Such a shame.

    They were massively helped by the officials in the Dortmund game, who were clearly under orders to slow Dortmund down. Still, the German FA, German UEFA contingent and Bayern board are all the same people so no worries their.

    Bayern has not been the same after Lewandowski's departure, and the personal problems within the club. Still, they deserve respect for becoming the dominant club they have for several years, in spite of the limitations of the 50 + 1 rule. I think they deserve a lot of merit for accomplishing what they have, without the external influence other leagues are suffering. I wish the EPL was the same.
