 LPAT FAQ

  • There are no books that are especially useful for LPAT practice. Most of the concepts you need are explained to you and supported by our handouts. For grammatical meta-language study, Swan’s Practical English Usage may be useful (though is definitely not necessary).

  • There is no single answer to this. It depends on your current level of proficiency, your target score and the amount of time you have to devote to self-study. For writing and speaking, in particular, we believe that 12 hours of training, along with about 24 hours of associated self study, is the minimum amount of preparation that will have a meaningful effect on your prospects for success.

  • We do not guarantee the score you will receive. There are a huge number of factors that affect this.

  • All our LPAT training is conducted by Mr May. He has been helping people with LPAT preparation for just on 20 years now. In that time, he has assisted around 300 candidates.

  • There is little meaningful training we can offer for these two exams. We can provide study skills advice for these two exams and will do so on request.
