Love or Scoop? A News Producer Faces Tough Dilemma in Hallmark's Caribbean Summer
Last week, Hallmark Channel took us to Hawaii in Hidden Gems, their first movie in their Summer Nights line of films for the month of June The feel-good network continues to transport us to a tropical getaway in Caribbean Summer. What is Caribbean Summer about?
Jade (Heather Hemmens), a morning news producer, is forced to take a vacation after an embarrassing gaffe during a live broadcast. She arrives to a relaxing Caribbean island, but Jade’s trip gets off to a rocky start thanks to a snafu involving the house she rented for her stay.
Serendipitously, Jade manages to turn things around and begins a romantic Caribbean adventure with the legitimate owner of the house, a mysterious man named Ford (Ser'Darius Blain). As Jade slowly lets her guard down and welcomes all that the island, its people and her handsome host have to offer, her heart and job come into direct conflict when she finds out the true backstory of the man she’s falling for—and it’s a career-defining scoop. Will Jade use this new information to get ahead in her career or will she follow her heart and help Ford clear his name once and for all so they can start a new chapter together?

Heather Hemmens (Jade)
Hemmens has had leading roles on OWN's If Loving You is Wrong, The CW's Roswell, New Mexico and Hellcats. She has also guest starred on shows like Yellowstone, Grey's Anatomy and Without a Trace.
Expect to see Hemmens in a few more Hallmark films. She's one of the actors Hallmark signed to a multi-picture deal.

Ser'Darius Blain (Ford)
Blain is probably best known to audiences as Anthony "Fridge" Johnson from the most recent Jumanji films or from the first season of The CW's reboot of Charmed. He has also had guest-starring spots on Chicago P.D., NCIS and Shameless.
