Rating 4.12 out of 5 26 reviews
Los Alamos Public schools are only highly rated when compared to NM as a whole because the state is basically last in everything child welfare related. The elementary schools are given very little focus or resources. All the focus is on the high school. If your student fits the very weird and quirky mold of the town they will be ok. Outgoing, extroverted personalities that aren’t only science and math driven will be disregarded and treated as a problem.
Los Alamos public schools provide the best education in the state. It prepares students for college well
The academics are on par with helping students succeed but the teachers and other expectations applied to students can be an overburden. This school district creates burnout for its students and dis-motivates them. Even with high academic standards there is little diversity and regard for students mental well-being.
