It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ginny Lee Nelson (Sandy Ridge, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her mother Virginia Ann; and her siblings, Penny Palacios, Judy Nelson-Starling and Randy Gentry. She is survived by : her father Calvin Thomas Nelson (Linda); her husband Nemorio Montes Chavez; her children, Ana Chavez (Cody), Rebeca Chavez, Jesus "Rudy" Chavez and Miguel Chavez; her siblings, Eugene Nelson (Teresa), Ricky Gentry (Annette) and Ruby Frances; and her grandchildren, Sofia Welch, Cody Smith, Gabriela Weatherford, Wyatt Bagley and Marley Smith.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel (1020 Hope Beasley Rd, Sandy Ridge, NC 27046). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at the Family Cemetery.
