Freshman: Reed is a small private college located about an hour away from downtown Portland. Reed's atmosphere is great for those accustomed to small town vibes seeing how isolated it is from city life. The transportation in Reed is simple to navigate and makes traveling pretty easy. In my experience so far the teachers at Reed are very understanding and look out for your best interest, although I have friends who would tell you differently. Junior: Great professors, great classes. The longer time you spend at the college to more and more community you build. The teacher to student ratios is often balanced and small to the point where students can get the targeted focus they'd need to tone their strengths. Freshman: My experience here at Linfield has been incredible! Everyone on campus is super friendly and super down to earth. I feel really connected to everyone in my dorm and on my teams, and in my classes. My favorite part about Linfield is how small the campus is. Everyone seems to know everyone somehow. Being on the Cross Country and Track team has been my favorite experience by far. Our coach is really into team bonding, so we do many group events. We have team dinners frequently, we went on a camping trip in the fall, and we always do our runs and workouts together. Additionally, I love my classes and the professors. They are extremely knowledgeable and seem very passionate about what they're teaching. They are always willing to help out their students by giving extra resources as needed, like extra study notes, additional time to complete work, and setting up study groups before exams. Sophomore: I love the community and available opportunities. The people there are so nice and friendly, it is not hard to make friends with people as long as you put in some effort. I love all the little things like saying hi to people as you pass them, having an excellent dorm community, and being able to talk about God with your peers (which truly is a big thing). Our campus is well-kept with lots of trees and greenery. Our dorms are also well-kept and it is not hard to access bathrooms, kitchen units, and laundry most of the time. God is felt throughout every inch of campus. All the faculty, no matter their department, connect their studies to God and demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching their students. I've taken several interesting Bible classes that demonstrate the breadth of perspectives that can be found in the Christian demographic. Inclusion is sought within student life events. Freshman: My experience at Bushnell University has been good. It is a small University so you recognize most everyone on campus. There are many activities and groups on campus that can help to make friends. There is a good coffee shop in one of the buildings on campus and they are very friendly and will make you anything that you ask for. Because Bushnell University is a Christian University and because of this we have chapels twice a week that you are required to go to a certain amount of times to pass chapel. Some people don't like this about the University, however, they knew that chapel was something they would have to participate in before coming.
