LG Appliance package

We purchased an LG kitchen appliance a couple of years ago, out of the 4 appliances, we have 2 left that are still working. I would not recommend LG anything. As far as I am concerned, LG stands Fore lots of Garbage.
If it's made in China, leave it in China.

We bought a LG refrigerator in March of…

We bought a LG refrigerator in March of 2022. Months later before warranty was expired we called because of the new filter we installed did not work and our refrigerator flooded. We were told to try another filter that was wrong and we told them. We continued to have problems and have been calling them up until 2024 and they finally stated that there was a problem with the filter housing and that it needed to be repaired. They gave us the name of a tech who came and fixed the problem and they asked us to send them information and the bill to them. They said we called in 2022 to say that the problem was fixed (we never did that). They will not reimburse us for $130 because it was out of warranty. We called within warranty time and were given the run around and have been experiencing that to this date. We jumped through hoops with them to this date. This is something that they finally said was a problem with the filter fitting. Today they said that we did not call within warranty and so we would not be reimbursed even though they led us to believe we would.

“Frustrating Customer Service…

“Frustrating Customer Service Experience”

I recently had an interaction with LG customer service that left me feeling incredibly frustrated. As someone who values their time, I was disappointed by the inefficiency and lack of proper communication.
I spent nearly half an hour on the phone, only to discover that my extended warranty required me to contact the store directly. Had they asked the right questions at the beginning of our conversation, we could have resolved the issue in just a minute.
This experience highlights a significant flaw in LG’s customer service process. As a company, they should prioritize their customers’ time and ensure that inquiries are handled efficiently. Unfortunately, my encounter fell short of these expectations.
I hope LG takes note of such feedback and works to improve their customer service. Time is precious, and wasting it unnecessarily is frustrating for anyone. If you’re considering LG products, be aware that their support system may need some refinement.
Feel free to adjust or personalize this review as needed. Remember, constructive feedback can drive positive change, and your voice matters! 😊👍

Horrible customer service..

Horrible customer service... the warranty does not mean anything. I just purchased a new washer that has a faulty discharge pump. I filed a claim but got no response. I tried calling but only get virtual help or chat. Under the warranty they should fix it or replace it but it is impossible to communicate with them and then they never respond.

LG warranty service is the worst

LG warranty service is the worst. Two full weeks to replace a compressor covered by warranty. Five days for the “locator” department to get a service rep on board. Six days to get them the part. Endless hours on the phone with incompetents in the Philippines who promised countless times to expedite the claim. Need I say more?

Should have read the reviews

Should have read the reviews - appalling returns & replacement service. TV delivered 19 days ago LG shop notified that product faulty - they are STILL in the process of checking stock for the replacement - although they are clearly still selling it online........

Extremely disgusting customer service

Extremely disgusting customer service. The call goes from Canada to Philippines (I guess), they want rating but no interest in solving the issue. LG fridges fail because of complicated motherboard issues and poor compressor. Do not buy LG and Samsung appliances. I think, their appliances (Fridge, TV etc) are programed to die after 3 years (from my experience).

I've had several LG 4K UHD tvs

I've had several LG 4K UHD tvs, last were blown out by power surges. Cause of a bad wiring connection, coming into the house. The picture quality from the 50" 4K UHD, TV was great. It beat every other TV I've had. The remote worked great, I could hit the number buttons, & it would change the channels. To what I wanted to watch immediately. It showed what was coming on next. I didn't have to guess about that. I knew immediately, I will never make a mistake of buying a TV again. Unless I ck user reviews, as the TV I have now is from another company was a bad mistake. I got it cause it was less cost, that had a rating that was hyped up. Totally false buyer beware of what you are purchasing !

Life is not Good with LG

I am very disappointed with my LG Refrigerator. It required two compressors within a 5 1/2 year period. Since it is out of warranty, LG charged me the $631with tax flat fee prior to repair the refrigerator. When the repair person came to the house, he could not guarantee that the 2ND compressor repair would be successful. I refused the 2ND compressor repair and was charged only a diagnostic fee of $125. I was informed that the $506 repair refund with be 4-6 weeks. This is ridiculous customer service. I will never recommend another LG appliance....Life is not Good with LG.

Purchase LG range from Home Depot

Purchase LG range from Home Depot. Unit was missing oven racks. When I contacted LG they said oven racks are not included and that they cost an additional $300. The racks are clearly listed in the manual as included. LG customer service is a scam to increase their profit margins.

If you buy LG just don’t expect your warranty to mean anything, worst experience dealing with them and they clearly don’t care about sorting issues or bad feedback as clearly shown here but the last of any replies to all these negative comments. Do yourself a favour and avoid them. £330 wasted on a monitor that developed a major fault after less than 2 months.

Avoid LG brand appliances

Bought all new LG appliances less than 2 years ago. The microwave display flickers and has missing segments. The freezer drawer on the refrigerator one day decided to thaw everything out and then start working again. The refrigerator door gasket is failing. Out of warranty of course. I will in the future avoid all LG products.

Beware of Making Purchases from LG

As I begin to write this review I see that the ratings for LG is 1.3 out of 5. This now makes sense that I am also experiencing issues with LG. I purchased a top loader washer and dryer set from Lowes. The woman at Lowes suggested LG so I went with her suggestion forgetting the many issues that I have had with this company in the past. There are many issues with the washer. For one, it does not get the clothes clean. The clothes smell the same way coming out of the washer as it did going in. I was told that the new washers are designed to save water, but the problem is that the water level is so low that only a third of the clothes are exposed to the water thereby not getting them clean. I tried to put the soil level on heavy which is supposed to raise the water level and I got the same results. I've sat and watched an entire cycle and I noticed that the water level does not always rise high enough on on heavy soil cycle. I also noticed that the inner drum is not moving while the outer drum is moving back and forth not allowing the clothes to get clean. I called to get a service request and the person on the line tried everything that they could to get me to service the washer myself even though I paid for an extended warranty. I told them that I was not physically able to do the things that they were asking, but they continued to try. Finally, I spoke to someone willing to schedule a service call. I have a feeling that I will be adding to this review after the service call in a few days.

Avoid the LG dishwasher like a plague

Don't buy an LG device unless you want non-stop disappointments.
If you leave outside of 1km radius to the service centre, expect to be told you're outside of their service area (even though you are under warranty).
Call out fee $199 even though we are 15km from one of their authorised service centres.

3 months of trying to organise a service with a junky dishwasher occupying space in my kitchen.

Absolutely horrible experience so far.

Just got off an almost hour long call with zero help or resolution, shameful.

LG - Laughable Goods (worse service)

Spent £1200 on an LG American style fridge freezer less than 18 months ago and it started making a horrendous screeching noise about 2 weeks ago. As it is still under warranty, called their helpline and an engineer from their contractor’s Pacifica attended and changed a fan part.
While the screeching was bad, the fridge freezer was still working but not after the part was changed.
Have lost hundreds of pounds of food as the freezer defrosted and the fridge became warm, so contacted LG again and another appointment with the same engineer was scheduled; but this time when they attended were uninterested and said it was a different issue and a new job would need to be raised, even though they acknowledged the food had defrosted and everything was warm and still wasn’t working?!?!
Have contacted LG / Pacifica again today to be advised the next available appointment is over a week away with the same engineer who has been useless to this point!!
The food wastage / storage is one thing but my son is type 1 diabetic and his insulin needs to be stored at a cool temperature to maintain it’s effect and have stressed this serious requirement at each point but to no avail. God help them if this situation affects his health; lawyers and the press will be involved!
That will be 3 weeks without a working fridge freezer and I have little confidence they will actually fix it at that point either!
We were fortunate to have had a similar Samsung product previously for nearly 20 years that only ever needed minor repair and was so easy to arrange with them.
The difference in quality of product and service is night and day.
The service from both LG and their engineering contractor is the worst I’ve ever experienced; they are equally unresponsive, unhelpful and uncaring and I’m so frustrated and disgusted with them, I feel like cutting my losses and getting a decent product from a reputable company.
If you’re considering purchasing an LG product, my advice to you would be to do the same.

Incredible quality of top loader Fuzzy Logic washing machnine

Bought a top loader WF-S5700PPX Fuzzy Logic 5.5 kg. washing machine 23 years ago.
Since then it has been used on daily bases with very hard water. Still working, with no maintenance, no lime scale deposits. 10 years ago I replaced the water pump and that's all, no other repairs.
I wonder if LG production still have the same durability and quality?
