- dbinhou7511Houston, TX1,579 contributionsHells Canyon is deeper than the Grand Canyon which is difficult to imagine when you are at the bottom. Wildlife sightings can be common of big horn sheep and deer. A jet boat is the way to get up the canyon and see the site. Fishing is popular.Written May 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Elizabeth K1 contributionOur family group of 16 (ages from 8-78) just finished a 5 day trip on the Salmon. Many reviewers have already commented on the good food, great guiding, ability to unplug, play games, ride rapids, cliff jumping, hiking, information sharing and nights under the stars and I second all of that and more.
Our bus driver, Jeanette, our raft leader, Bill, and the rest of the crew Hailey, Cole, Kristin, Ryan and Sage (apologies for misspelling any names) were just the best. ROW sent videos and packing lists and I am so glad we paid attention and brought what they recommended. We hit rain, lightning and thunder on the first day and nothing was ever so welcome a sight as when we saw those tents already set up for us on shore. THANK YOU Ryan and Sage!! With some flash flooding up north, the Salmon changed from a blue to a silty brown overnight and the river got more crowded and the desirable camp sites got taken faster as more rafters made their way onto the Salmon. But the team took care of us. There was constant communication with our group and I felt like any questions or concerns we had were immediately addressed. They were simply a top notch team.
Our families live in separate states and rarely get to see each other so this trip was a very special opportunity to catch up and reminisce while the ROW team took care of our every need.
I would not hesitate to recommend this excellent experience.Written August 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. She shared stories about the area and knew a great deal about the history of the county. The museum was full of historic items and offered an interesting history lesson! Our visit lasted a little over an hour and we could have stayed longer.Written July 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TaraOaklandOakland, California143 contributionsWe were visiting the area and saw that this winery on the edge of town offered food and was open late. It is a lovely drive there. We happened to go on a Friday evening, and a local cover band was playing, mostly classics from the 70s and 80s which we enjoyed. The flights of red and whites were tasty and the staff was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We had a nice hummus + veggie plate and a very good tomato pesto pizza. Best was when they opened the big “garage doors” to the large outside patio and we could sit and watch the spectacular sunset. Definitely worth the drive.Written September 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Pami65Verbena, AL104 contributionsAspen Loop and full hook up! We were next to the river and wildlife abounded. Beautiful path leading to downtown Lewiston. Thistle thorns flattened one of our bicycle tires. There are a lot of them. Dogs welcome. Washington state is literally just across the river. I did not visit the restrooms. There is a very nice Lewis and Clark Discovery Center in the park along wi the another historical museum.Written September 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Linda CRio Rancho, NM161 contributionsThis is a small museum that doesn't take a lot of time, but gives some interesting facts such as the men on this journey ate 9 pounds of meat a day. Now you're ready for Jeopady! There is a 30 minute movie that provides more information.Written June 24, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Trippingalong2014Lewiston, ID97 contributionsFinally, the City & Library Board listened, the Director is gone, fired & her right hand staff member is gone too. As staff tells us, everyone is happier & looks forward to coming to work. It shows, after months, we came back to town, stopped by, and found a happy, helpful staff. Hopefully, they can repair the damages and bring the public back.Written February 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
