Biden’s blunders

Joe Biden has fostered an administration with the blind staggers, one that revels in contempt, if not outright hatred, for Americans who do not think ‘correctly.’ As he beholds the culmination of his life’s work, four decades in the murky swamp, he does not recognize how he and his band of Bernie Sanders think-alikes have plundered our history and traditions. He knows only that progressive Democrats have rolled up their sleeves, for it is hard work to purge evil from the body politic. In doing the Lord’s work, they have transmuted Ponce de Leon’s quest for a fountain of youth into a fountain of “free” entitlements and relentless regulation. They have declared in near hysterical terms a glissando of demands that will put us all on easy street, even if we prefer to work for our daily ration. We should thank Sens. Sinema and Manchin, if they stand fast, for keeping progressive floodwaters at bay.

Kudos to Franks

Mr. Gary Frank’s well intentioned advice to Joe Biden (“A course change could get Biden’s poll numbers out of cellar Boston Herald, Nov 14, 2021) is a timely and a thoughtful one.

I truly hope that the Republican congressional members who helped salvage the Biden’s infrastructure bill and are making it a reality will not be betrayed by the Democrats when implementing the same. The bill seems to contain lots of extravaganzas that are anything but infrastructure and no one seems to have a full understanding of its contents. Congress of late has been indulging in such deceptive tactics. Case in point — “The famous Obamacare”  when the then-speaker got it to pass by making a statement that Congress has to pass the bill to know what is in it. It is a shameless gimmick.

There is nothing wrong in craving a clean environment. But this goal can not be pursued blindly if other major nations (China, Russia, India) pay a lip service to this noble goal.

Mr. Franks is absolutely correct when he states that we should be all-in on energy sources. Renewable sources like solar, wind are fine but they by themselves can not replace other steady and reliable sources such as fossil fuel, nuclear, etc.

Our nation achieved energy independence after several decades under the Trump administration only to see that the Biden administration destroy it by a stroke of a pen. A reckless and vengeful act implemented by Biden without weighing the pros and corns.

I truly feel the Biden administration will heed Mr. Gary Franks.

Infrastructure funds

This seems like great news (“Bay State in line for $10 Billion in Infrastructure Bucks” 11/17/21). I would only ask one thing of every Massachusetts resident.

Look at your roads and bridges today and then look at them one year from now and you will see how corrupt and awful our state leaders really are when they are handed $10 billion.

The other confusing thing is that I thought we already pay state and federal taxes to keep roads and bridges in good shape and I ask anyone who drives on any road in Massachusetts, where did that money go?

Wu’s mentor

Asian Americans have every reason to be proud of the election of Michele Wu — it is truly the dream this country is all about. But it’s obvious she learned well from Sen. Elizabeth Warren. Neither one ever directly answers any question they’re asked.
