Summary
Justice has never been so cold.
Former Special Forces Operative Ion Frost has one job left before he vanishes off the grid for good: Deliver his dead comrade’s dog tags to a boy named Lincoln. It should have been a quick easy stop.
But for wanderer Ion Frost, things have a way of getting complicated....
Upon meeting Lincoln, Ion learns that his older sister, Taya, has been missing for over a week.
Ion's plans to disappear get put on hold.
Then an assassin takes out Lincoln in a brutally efficient murder. With Lincoln dead and the dog tags missing, Ion is sure of one thing…. There's a dark side to this sleepy small town.
Now Ion is in the thick of it. He’s determined to find Lincoln’s killer, and deliver his own personal brand of justice. But the harder he searches, the more questions he finds. Who wanted Lincoln dead? Where is Taya?
And how long before his own brutal past catches up with him?

A solid debut novel
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ethan Reed has written a pretty solid debut novel here. It has few mistakes and feels pretty fluid. The main character is a bit singular, and hopefully will be rounded out more in subsequent novels. I found the narrator a bit hard to listen to. He was quite dry, and his female voices seemed to be much the same. He did however speak clearly and concisely, and made very few awkward pauses or mispronunciations. It feels a bit as if the author is going for a Jack Reacher type of character, having said that I am in no way suggesting that it is a rip off of Reacher, but rather just that one man wrecking ball type of character. I will likely listen to the next one when it comes out, just depending on what all is on my plate. Again as I said, a rather good debut novel. I look forward to seeing how the character and storylines develop as the author hones his craft.

Recommend
I enjoyed listening to this book. During the story I felt like I was biting my nails. At the beginning of the book, I felt like I was listening to some veterans telling their story of what they went through. It is very detailed, if someone is very sensitive to gore, I would be cautious of it. You can tell that the characters are military.

Entertaining and Intriguing
This was my first Ethan Reed's book. This is the first book in the Ion Frost Series, a military thriller. The characters are well developed, and they are intriguing. The storyline is interesting, and entertaining, filled with mystery, action, danger, and twists and turns. John Tanner did an excellent job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward for more in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

mostly justice
Frost was a true hero and chivalrous from head to foot with tons of integrity and self sacrificing. The tease at the end was expected but I was hoping against hope he would stay safe for a minute!!!! This was action packed and very suspenseful. Most of the corruption was evident, but it was still gutwrenching. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life.

Fantastic read, don’t miss it!
Lethal Justice was my first audiobook by both the author and narrator, and it exceeded my expectations! The narrator did a marvelous job. It never got boring listening to him. The story itself was compelling with lots of action and never a dull moment. I highly recommend this audiobook!
