      Because why not?

The grave is super easy to find. Just look for the Shannon mausoleum (picture posted) and it's just to the northwest towards Rose Hill Drive.

Lee Harvey Oswald was a former US Marine who "allegedly" assassinated President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. It has to be allegedly because there was never a trial. Oswald was fatally shot by local nightclub owner Jack Ruby in the basement of the Dallas Police headquarters two days later.

Please note that this is an active cemetery so be respectful.

Cool place to visit if you're looking for historical locations that have to do with the assassination of JFK.

This is fun in a macabre way -- perfect for hipsters with sick senses of humor.

Very easy to find -- the graveyard equivalent of James Dean's death car.

      What the f*ck ever.

To quote fellow Yelper Ryan B., "Whichever way you enter the Rose Hill Memorial Burial Park, find your way to the western edge of the park. You will see a chain link fence and a public road outside of the fence with houses along the road.

Notice markings on the curb, white stencil on green, on which sections of the cemetery are named.

You are looking for Sunset 18.

There is a small mausoleum named Shannon at the fork in the road.

When you find this you are within a few feet of your goal. Lee Harvey Oswald's grave is on the side of the road towards the row of houses.

The grave is about 20 feet from the cemetery road. You cannot miss it.

It is reddish-colored, next to a grave marked 'Nick Beef.' No other graves are adjacent to Oswald's.

You can make a long day of touring Lee Harvey stuff:
His grave, the bar down the street called the Ozzie Rabbit Lodge (the nickname of Lee Harvey Oswald when he was in the army), then over to Dallas to see Lee Harvey's boarding house at 1026 N. Beckley, then home to watch 'War is Hell,' the movie which was playing in the theater in which Lee Harvey hid. Yeah, ghoulish."

Why come here? Why not? Good or bad, it's a piece of history...in a sense. I cannot positively or negatively rate a grave site...feels weird.

We found the grave site hard to find, Trying to find it by following the directions by fellow Yelper Ryan B. He got us close but we walked around a bit in the cold. FInd the mausoleum marked "Shannon"..if you're facing the front know that it's to the left. About 20 feet back, to the right of the tree. Marked simply by "Oswald" next to a stone that simply says "Nick Beef."

      I hope that clarifies it.

After we went to Lee Harvey's in South Dallas for a burger and beer..a bar in the old house of Oswald's mother. History Sunday!

The tomb stone..minus a random guy laying next to it.

A friend and I went to check out the Oswald grave to satisfy my curiosity over the location and manner of notorious presidential assasin Lee Harvey Oswald's burial. The directions provided by the other reviewers are spot on. I uploaded two photos including one that shows the location of the burial site in relation to the Shannon mausoleum structure. There are indeed several other burial plots within close distance. I found it curious that there are many burials very close to Oswald's that occurred after 1963; apparently the families of those decedents were either unaware or did not object to their loved ones being located so close to Oswald. If you go to the burial area opposite of the Shannon house, you will find a whole section for toddlers/infants :(

We easily found the cemetery using Google Maps when coming from the north section of the Ft Worth area, although one should listen to directions and make sure you don't make wrong turns or turn off at highway exits.

Oh snap. Lee Harvey's grave is the shiznit son. I've spent many an afternoon with Lee Harvey. Interesting fact. The headstone next to his is of Nick Beef. Who is Nick Beef you ask? Well I've been told he's a comedian who graduated from Arlington High School (my Alma Matter) and lives in NYC. He bought the plot for $2000 to tell people in his stage act that they can find Lee Harvey's grave by asking the Rose Hill peeps where Nick Beef's grave is. But now they won't tell you where it is either. So you're gonna have to ask me how to find it. And I have to deem whether you're cool enough to get the privy info. Who reviews Lee Harvey's grave?!! That's right I do bitch. And I gotz pics to prove I was there.

How do you rate a grave? I can't break it down really... I mean, do I tell you this is a lovely place for a final resting place? Because it seems like it - not that you can ask any of its current residents. Oh man, I sound really insensitive!

Anyway, I'm intrigued by who this man was so I wanted to visit his forever home. His grave simply says, "Oswald." It is located behind a mausoleum in a roundabout belonging to "Shannon" and directly across the street from the Reynold and Reynold two cross black headstones. If you see Sunset 18 street you are close but it's the stretch closer to the residential area and chain link fence.

And then I went to Lee Harvey's for a burger.

We visited JD Tippit's grave at Laureland cemetery. Now we came to see the bastard that killed him. We used the photo of the Shannon mausoleum, and found the grave just northwest of there.
