Leaving Water TemperatureThe results showed that the uncertainty depended mainly on the difference between the
leaving water temperatures in a fouled condition compared to the one in a clean condition.
All SMC Series chillers have an operating
leaving water temperature range of 30-65[degrees]F.
A chiller typically operates with a condenser water supply temperature of 55[degrees]F to 85[degrees]F (13[degrees]C to 29[degrees]C) and a condenser
leaving water temperature of 60[degrees]F to 95[degrees]F (16[degrees]C to 35[degrees]C) (Heemer et al.
In the first case, the cooling tower is operated at full fan speed at a wet bulb that will produce 70[degrees]F (21.1[degrees]C)
leaving water temperature. In the second case using the same wet bulb, the cooling tower fan speed is modulated to maintain a fixed
leaving water temperature to the condenser.
Increasing the water temperature difference between the EWT and
Leaving Water Temperature (LWT) increases the cooling capacity of the floor and increases the acceptable distance between the water tubes.
Results: The system is designed to achieve an 8.8Au C Delta T with a
leaving water temperature of 5Au C in ambient temperatures of 46Au C.

In a pure water system, if the
leaving water temperature drops below the setpoint, the controller halts the pumps circulating to the outdoor heat exchanger and the EcoDry automatically drains its water back to an indoor reservoir.
It created convective heat transfer in the water body and maintained near constant
leaving water temperature in the loop.
