Las Olas is a Condo Timeshare, NOT a hotel!! There is no room service nor consistency in the quality of the condo you may reserve. There are condo owners that reside at Las Olas and other timeshare investors that allow their condo timeshare properties to be "rented". Renting one of these is how a stay at Las Olas is made available to those of us who do not participate in any kind of timeshare program. The property is nice enough but it is very important to request inspect your room before agreeing to stay in it. The lobby staff was bilingual and helpful. If you're expectation is to stay at a "resort/hotel" with the level of quality and amenities you'd find in a five star property in the U.S., this many not be the place for you.

Recently visited Las Olas Resort & Spa with a group of friends and had a nice time--mainly because of the company, the resort was just okay (read why down below and see pictures attached).

The drive in from Los Angeles was pretty smooth, but we were directed to the wrong Las Olas in Rosarito (yes, there are TWO, so be careful when typing it into your navigation/directions app).

Anyway, once we arrived we were greeted by a friendly front desk staff (though the aesthetics of the front desk office were a bit run down). After checking in, a bellman kindly helped us with our belongings and escorted us to our 2 bedroom condo.

Upon entry, we walked down a long hallway that led to a large open floor plan with kitchen, living room and beautiful view of the ocean. The kitchen was nice, but I was disappointed with the living room furniture--the couch was tattered and a huge rip in one of the cushions (I'm not sure why management hasn't fixed or replaced that yet, but it should be addressed ASAP).

The bedrooms were nice (one is a master bedroom, the other is a regular bedroom but good size). The master bathroom was nice, but the hallway bathroom (the one we used) left much to be desired--there was dirt/mildew stains around the edge of the tub, rust stains on the bathtub faucet, moving tape on the side of the tub (why?), and so on. Needless to say, this particular room could have used some TLC. However to be fair, we did visit other friend's rooms and their furniture/bathrooms were in better shape than ours so maybe we were just assigned a no-so-great room.

As for the grounds, we only visited the swim-up pool, which was nice and the bar staff was great. Unfortunately, all the bathrooms near the pool were stopped up (including the lobby bathroom, which didn't flush properly--gross.)

Overall, I would say this resort is probably one of the nicer options in Rosarito, Mexico and is good for an inexpensive & quick getaway. However, you are expecting higher than 2.5 / 3-star accommodations, you will be greatly disappointed.

This place is a hidden gem, I was skeptical to post because I don't want this to be booked when i go back, nut I had to share. The Views are awesome, the staff is friendly and happy you are there. The rates are incredible and included a great fresh cooked breakfast not some buffet this most cant eatr. It is close to Puerto Neuvo to have Lobster and Rosarito for all other restaurants and bars and less than 30 min to Tijuana or Ensanada. This resort is a Gem, check it out you will not be disappointed

Las Olas is a very special property. I consider it to be the best in the Rosarito area.

The 5 heated, private hot tubs with their own changing areas provided a nice space to relax at anytime I felt like it.

Everyday, I was able to lounge at one of the 3 pools and be all alone.

The security is top notch and as a single, female traveler, I always felt safe.

The views were impeccable and even though I was traveling on business, I felt I was relaxing in my own home.

Very nice view. I actually got it through an airbnb and it was so relaxing. The only part that isn't in service is the restaurant, but you have a full kitchen and tons of food choices within the area. They're a gym on site. Multiple jacuzzi, multiple pools, volleyball, tennis

I planned a trip with my family 1 year in advance with Las Olas resort. They had a great receptionist, Elizabeth who treated me great. Everything was going great until she quit one week prior to our stay. They have a new receptionist, Victor who is a total jerk! He is useless, rude, & does not know what he is doing. The manager, Olivier is even worse (She booked a dinner for us at their restaurant for Sunday at 5pm. She didn't even know that there restaurant closes at 5 on Sunday!)
We had two condos reserved for 1 year, the day we were supposed to check-in they told us our room was rented that same morning!! They didn't even apologize or attempt to accommodate us. They simply said the other party rented it for one month, and we only had it for four days, so they didn't want to lose business. I asked to speak to the manager, Olivier & she did not come out.
They simply told me they would refund our money. We ended up going somewhere else & our entire trip was ruined due to their poor business tactics.
FYI, I called the next week to see if they had refunded my money & they said that they would charge me for 1/2 the rooms since we decided to cancel at the last minute!!!! I filed a fraudulent report against them through my bank, thank goodness I paid with my credit card!!!! Do not trust this resort!!!!! I even read all their reviews prior to going too.....darn!!

It's definitely not a resort since there was no service at all!!!! It's a condo that has a check in guy at a desk that process your payments and gives you the key to the room. I thought since it says it's a resort, there would be amenities like a hotel but NOTHING!!! It's a condo rental and we ended up not having hot water for both nights to take showers in with our kids. We asked the maintenance and they just give you the run around and said it should work but still no hot water!!! There are about 7 hot tubs there but what's the point if only 2 worked and the rest was freezing cold. Our weekend was just awful since it was cold weather and having cold hot tubs with cold showers didn't help making it any better. I would definitely recommend Rosarito Beach hotel or Rosarito Inn...at least they offer the fast pass to get back into CA. This hotel is way off from other places with only 1 overpriced, horrible restaurant to eat at. We also found the biggest cockroach in the bathroom. Never will go back to this place again. The pictures of this place on their website is sooooo deceiving!!!! The beds also squeak so loud and so uncomfortable that I could hardly sleep.

Myself and 2 girlfriends went for Memorial Day weekend. It was a horrible nightmare. We caught the guards in our room and they said they were just checking on things. We knew this was not true because our stuff had been gone through. Thank goodness we had our purses with us while gone. Then even worse when we went to our car the next day the window had been broken and my lap top was stolen. The car was parked inside the garage next to the guard shack. We wanted to report it to the police so we asked the guards their names and they would not give them to us. The super scary thing is the guards had police riot gear on and wore masks so we couldn't I'd them. VERY SCARY AND SKETCHY BE CAREFUL!

My family and I stayed in Las Olas for a wedding. I won't go into the wedding services that was another nightmare. The wedding was beautiful thankfully to the wedding and band, but their wedding planner services is horrible. Everything they promised when booking was not at all the final result. Their wedding planner horrible attitude and service. She's there take care of all the details not to give attitude to the guest. She and her staff for the wedding had poor service. Book your wedding somewhere else and save yourselves a lot of money.

As far as the hotel. Just as another person mentioned as soon as you check in attitude.
Our friends called on the day of the wedding asking if they could check a little earlier because they were going to the wedding (was starting at 5) and check in was at 4. Obviously not enough time. They said no at first, then the guy I the lobby said ask for me, we'll take care of it here" (in Mexico terms that means as long as I get a good tip you can do whatever you want)

That was the first bad thing. Next,
1. No AC, yes in August and no AC in the entire "resort"-this place is far from being a reort.
2. Room service is not done daily- we called the next morning to get a pack of coffee. They said it was $5 inky the first day it's complementary.
3. We had to keep calling requesting towels. It was 6 of us in 3 bedroom and not enough towels or toiletries.
4. Phones didn't work. It was difficult to call to get service. And there was never personnel in their lobby.
5. Wall are not sound proof you can hear your neighbors business.
6. Only 2 elevators.
7. Stinky sewer smell.
8. The rooms were rundown our room luckily wasn't other than the tv's didn't work. But I went to several of my family's rooms and their furniture was horrible - falling apart.

Save your money go somewhere. These folks are way over priced for their service.
