Larry Frost Obituary

Every day we pass Calvary Cemetery on our way to school and say Hi to Larry. Hope all is well for Carol and the Frost Family. Thank you for being great neighbors to us.

I knew Larry many many years. From when he was in high school, and all through his college years. I knew his father (Top) also when he managed the Woodlawn dairy farm between Lincoln and Malcom. Larry was always a really nice guy and we hunted quite often when he was in high school amd college. Carol and Scott please accept my sincere condolences Larry was a really nice guy and wouldn't say anything bad about anyone I know of. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. We were so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. We got to meet Larry and Carol for the only time in March of this year, when they graciously gave us a personal tour of the Cornhusker Football facilities. They could not have been nicer. We feel so lucky that we got to meet Larry. He will certainly be missed by scores of people that he touched. May he rest in peace.

Carol, I was so sorry to learn of Larry's passing. Our family has many fond memories of both of you from our years in Gothenburg, where Dad was on the school board and you were my high school PE teacher and track coach. Both of you taught and coached with kindness and clear guidance. Sending my condolences, and those of Wayne & Doris Ebke and LuAnn Ebke as well. Praying the Lord will comfort your sad hearts and walk with you and all of your family through this time of grief.

Memory: one summer day, likely 1963, several boys , myself included from Milford went to Pleasant Dale to play baseball and Larry also came from Malcolm. I didn't meet him again but I look forward to a meeting with him at the feet of our Lord.

I will always think of Coach Frost fondly—with memories of him jogging around the WR gym, correcting my stat keeping at HS football games, encouraging everyone, and making people smile. Much love to Carol, Scott and Steve.

I had the pleasure of playing for Coach Frost while he was the coach at Crete High School. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

carol and steve and scott plus your families, my sister bev and larry were classmates through gradeschool,high school, and college, Larry called my sister before her death in 2010. I appreciated his thoughtfulness and caring. Many hugs and memories to give you comfort during this difficult time

Carol, Steve & Scott. We became fast friends with Larry in Shenandoah, I'm sure he is going to be missed by everyone who knew him! I remember how prepared and ready Larry and Carol had the boys for the first snap! Better days ahead! Joe, Dustin, Bridger and Cole Nebel.

Scott I am so sorry to hear about your papa! It is so hard to lose your parent, guardian and in so many ways, your friend. I want to wish you many condolences, from our family to yours. Our sincere condolences on Larry's passing. He was my coach at Lincoln High for two years and still remember those wonderful memories to this day. His passion for his players to not only give our best effort, but be good, honorable individuals always was first and foremost! RIP Coach.

Shenandoah colleagues and former students send our thoughts and prayers for Carol and his family. We remember Larry as a caring coach and teacher.

Scott, sincere condolences to you and your brother from no one other than a lifelong fan of Husker athletics...especially football. I know what its like to lose one of your parents. I lost my mother last year. It will be extremely difficult...especially during the 1st year, but you will make it out on the other side because have the entire Husker Nation behind you. I will say a prayer for Larry tonight. He was a great Husker and from what I hear...an even better man.

So very sorry for your loss- very talented man- I went to Malcolm with Larry he was older than me but he was my mentor in track- I watched closely when he ran men's high hurdles and it helped me a lot in women's low hurdles though he never knew that- so have always admired his talent- may God bless you in hour healing and all your wonderful memories of your husband father and grandchildren =”=O

I competed against Larry in football and track in high school. We were the same age, almost to the day. Larry was an incredible athlete, but also a very humble, genuinely good man. My thoughts are with everyone in Larry's family. Just remember all the great memories. I'm sure there are many.

Gonna miss you pal. We kept in touch over the years after college and there were times when we had planned to work together on the sideline. You will be missed by hundreds of people that you helped shape their lives. I personally will reflect on the fun times, and there were many. Rest In Peace my friend, football will remain our tie to each other.

Fortunately we had Larry & Carol teach and coach our kids at Wood River. There experience was great and excelled in many ways. Larry created a family surrounding with his teams. Fellowship of Christian Athletes was offered as an option. His athletes were treated fairly and always received an opportunity to play. He touched the lives of many student athletes in a positive way. Larry was a guy that I am proud to have known. May he find peace with his lord and blessings on his family.

To the Frost family...My deepest sympathy for your loss of your loved one Larry. Although, I didn’t personally know Larry, but the inspirational articles I have read about him have inspired me in a deep way. His dedicated life he led as an athlete, coach and teacher, but more importantly, his dedication, leadership and love to his family as a husband, father and grandfather. He will live on through the many lives he has touched by his hard work ethics, coaching and teaching skills, and loving guidance to all those he came in contact with. May God bless Larry with eternal life with Him in Heaven and may God bless his family with strength, love and understanding during these difficult times. My deepest condolences to all of the Frost family It was an honor and pleasure to play for Larry at Crete back in the fall of 73 and 74 He was a positive role model for all the young man over the years that he coached and I so wish that he could’ve lived another 10 years, to see Nebraska and his son, Win another National championship...Rest in peace Coach

Scott and family, I am so very sorry to hear about Larry. I have some pretty unique and fun memories of him! He raised 2 fine sons...his greatest legacy. His pride and belief in you was always evident. Scott, I know you shared the same close bond with your Dad that I did with mine, and after losing my Dad, very unexpectedly, not quite 3 years ago, I know intimately how your world has been knocked of its axis. We will be praying for you all as you forever grieve his loss and learn to navigate an altered world.
