- Karen ELa Porte, IN71 contributionsMichigan Capitol building and its architecture served as model for dozens of other state capitol buildings The detail in the plastering, windows, staircases, lighting, arches entries and the dome ceiling are unprecedented. Imagining the skill the craftsmen had to hand make this all is overwhelming and so impressive. Just designing and hanging the massive light fixtures from the glass ceiling is an engineering feat.Written March 23, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RoxySedona, AZ213 contributionsThis is an old fire truck, encased in glass, in front of an office building. Nothing else to see, nothing to do here. You see it as you drive by. Would probably be better suited in a museum, for actual enjoyment.Written March 29, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chipperhigh2Okemos, MI3,846 contributionsThe Rotary Steam Clock dates back to 1909. The clock still works today. The steam is supplied by the Lansing Board of Water and Light.
