- Previa1994Chicago, IL6,671 contributionsOne Trick Pony Brewery is a homey little microbrewery in Lansing. Stopped here one weekday afternoon and fully enjoyed the visit. There was a small patio in front to sit outside which came in handy during these pandemic times. In spite of being a small place, it appears they offer indoor live music (I was there too early in the day). The rustic deco in the taproom has a horse theme (horseshoes and saddles on the wall). Their beer offerings change frequently, hence no printed menu. The beers are listed on a board in the taproom. A large variety of beers are available, and I had a Taster Flight of four excellent beers. They also offer their beers to go in crowlers/growlers, and two were available in 16-oz cans.

Gayety's was first opened in February of 1920...so, this is their 101st Anniversary! They closed for a short period last year, but it was purchased by some of their previous employees. They have since reopened in Lansing, Illinois fairly close to their original location in South Chicago. My wife's family, my wife, and I are very happy. New life for Gayety means new ideas for their new and improved menu! The "All New Gayety" is great! I personally think the new Gayety has a very festive feel and that their products have actually been improved. I look forward to my hollow chocolate bunny coming again this Easter.
