Language of the Enemy

I’m not a big action movie fan but my husband is. So when I got the chance to review Language of the Enemy from MTI Home Video I thought, why not?

Language of the Enemy is set in the Middle East (present day) around a Jewish American businessman, Romi Meir (Eion Bailey) who while traveling to Israel for his father’s funeral is convinced to handle an assignment for the Israeli Secret Service that doesn’t go as planned.

Romi finds himself trapped behind enemy lines with a beautiful Palestinian, Joleh Khalid (Linda Hardy). Caught in the middle of the turmoil both must rethink their own world views and learn to trust one another. If they can.

Both Bailey and Hardy give fine performances. In my opinion this is by far one of the better “B” movies I has seen lately. The story line is real and understandable. The characters don’t appear fake in any way.

Language of the Enemy was written and direct by Mitch Davis (The Other Side of Heaven.) The DVD extras are the standard and do little to add or take away from the film.
