My wife and I went to a Pirate game and stayed at the Landing Hotel for one night. The hotel is part of the Rivers Casino and it is virtually brand new. We went for an afternoon game and were surprised our room was ready at 11 AM. However, if your room is not ready they will hold your luggage while you go out to the casino, game, science center, or restaurants nearby. Valet parking is free for hotel guests with unlimited in and out privileges. We got an even numbered room wiich is the river side and I would suggest that is the side you want. We were on the top floor and the view was great. Staff was very nice and the free breakfast was typical of any other one you get as say a Marriott for example. The place was spotless. Personally, I think The Landing is great place to stay and we plan on staying again this summer.

Stayed with a free night offer on a Thursday night. Hotel was very clean, small lobby with a bar and several TV's to watch. Room was very good with comfy beds, nice bathroom. I especially liked the lighting at night time was just bright enough to not wake someone up when you used the bathroom. No pool here but parking is included and breakfst is offered for free in the morning.

We spent one night at the Landing Hotel on our first time ever visit to Pittsburgh. The hotel is in a great location. We walked to PNC Park for a ballgame and it was a short 10-minute drive to the Strip District and to the Duquesne Incline. The rooms are beautiful and roomy. The bathrooms are immaculate with huge showers. The bed was comfy too. All of the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast as well. If you love to gamble the hotel is attached to the River's Casino. The room rate was very fair and the breakfast was an added bonus. You also receive free valet parking or self parking which was really nice since most places charge upwards of $35 to park onsite. You can go in and out as much as you'd like. We would define stay here again!

My husband and I stayed October 27-28th. We had a free room due to previous stays. We were awoken in the middle of the night by front desk and another man. Front desk accused us of smoking in the room. He was very rude and insulting when we stated we did not smoke in our room. He refused to come into our room as requested by us, because our room did not smell like smoke. He kept saying a sensor went off and he already charged our card 350.00 for a cleaning fee and if it went off again they were kicking us out. I asked what sensor because I was confused and he said a sensor at the front desk. He said we signed the form at check in stating a charge of 350.00 would be incurred if you smoke in your room. We kept telling him WE DID NOT SMOKE IN OUR ROOM. Asked to speak to a manager- none were on duty. Next morning again, no manager. Gave our info requesting a manager contact us. They never called. Sent an email-no response. I have been reading other guests reviews experiencing the same issue. I believe this is a scam they are running. There was an article regarding such in the Pittsburgh newspaper. We are not letting this go. We are not allowing someone to accuse us of something we did not do. This is not over....it is just beginning. If anyone else has experienced the same, please contact me. Thank you

This is our second stay at the Landing. We had hoped there might be some improvement over our previous stay since this is a brand new hotel and a settling in period is to be expected. We won't be back though. The hotel itself is lovely and very clean. Staff is friendly, the beds are comfortable. However, our room was not cleaned once during our three day stay, even though we requested it. The fan in the room was so loud (measured it at over 60 decibels) making it difficult to sleep. There is no coffee maker in the room, which we really missed. There are no vending machines for cold drinks, so if you want anything other than tap water you need to bring your own. The included breakfast was okay, not much variety, but seating is a problem. They simply don't have enough tables to accommodate the breakfast crowd, so be prepared to eat standing up or waiting for a table to open up. This hotel could be so much better than it is with some simple changes and additions that you find in any other hotel in this price range.

If you ever find yourself in Pittsburgh, book at The Landing. We stayed 3 nights and got a corner room with a view of the river. The size of the room was huge. Room & bathroom were so spacious. The hotel & the room decor were modern & tastefully decorated. Very nice. Everything was clean. The window drapes were remotely controlled. We never stayed & enjoyed time spent in a hotel room as we did here. Simple daily breakfast was also included. Front desk was very helpful & friendly. Wifi gets spotty at times but not a bug deal. The Rivers Casino is just outside the door. Plenty of eateries in the casino so very convenient. Valet parking was free. If we go back to Pittsburgh, we will definitely stay here again.

A new hotel right next to the casino. We booked 1 night, King room with a river view. Everything was very clean and service was good. Convenient walk to many attractions. Some small cons. For the price, I was surprised that there was no coffee maker, and the mini fridge would not chill very low. The elevators are a little slow. Breakfast buffet was slightly below average. Again, for the price, powdered eggs and greasy sausage patties are not up to snuff. Good drink selection and continental items, however. HOT coffee!

This is a nice looking hotel, clean as well.
However, it doesn't provide coffee! No coffeemaker in the room, no coffee in the lobby! If you are lucky, and can drink regular, caffeinated types, you can request a cup at the front desk. This was a first for me.

Loved this.modern hotel! It's only been open since October. The bed was very comfortable. Nice view of stadium from my 5 th floor room. It was neat that there were motion detection lights under the night stands and in the bathroom. Good breakfast with typical offerings. Stayed here so I could go to the Rivers Casino. Free valet parking for hotel guests. Casino is connected to the casino by a hall.

If you're young, it's ok.
For handicapped, it's horrible.
No scooters allowed. Valet is supposed to wheelchair you to your room.
Security, valet and the front desk don't know what each other will do.
If you're staying over night, you still need your scooter that you leave at the casino for the middle of the night. The halls are long. 85 year old people like to gamble and this Is not set up well!! Why can't you take the scooter to your room?? Stupid!
