Increasing clouds and breezy winds continue today as highs only warm into the 40s and 50s. Isolated rain and snow showers are developing later this afternoon, but more widespread activity is expected overnight into Wednesday.

Scattered snow showers are expected today across western Montana. Accumulating snow will stay confined to mountain passes along the divide and the higher valleys of southwest Montana. Bozeman could see 1 to 2 inches of snow accumulate today. Valleys west of the divide will see less than an inch.

Unseasonably cold temperatures are expected to settle in for the middle of the week. Daytime highs Wednesday will be in the 30s. Low temperatures will be their coldest Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Lows will fall into the teens and 20s. A gradual warm-up is expected through the weekend, but lows will continue to flirt with freezing.
