Lake Superior State University Reviews
Rating 3.47 out of 5 567 reviews
My experience so far has been amazing! The professors and staff are very knowledgeable and very helpful and caring. I do not want anything to change, besides seeing the school grow in population.
Transferred to Lake Superior State University after doing a few years at a local community college. I did a semester on campus which after dealing with switching to online classes due to the COVID pandemic. I quickly learned the college scene was not for me. Lake Superior State University is a a small campus for students that live on campuses with most walks between building less than 10 minutes. Classes are small and there are not many professors in departments so over time you get to build a great relationship with each professor. I am in the Lukenda School of Business and the professors all know what they are talking about and so great job helping when it comes to providing more explanation of a subject. The food I will say is not the greatest so I would recommend the smallest meal plan option that is required if you are a student that lives on campus. The cost is not too expensive and there are many scholarship you can apply to including ones provided by the financial aid.
A decent enough school. I have liked the small, personal environment of the college and the design of the campus. The academics are okay as long as your major has a decent department. I would really only recommend people go here if they are pursuing the sciences because all other majors are ignored and are lacking departments and funding. I would like to see expansion in academic focus such as by bringing back arts majors/minors. Overall a decent school if you like a small campus environment and are majoring in one of their popular programs.
