It was another busy week for credit unions in every region of the nation, which announced new promotions and new hires. Trades and vendors also announced new board members.

EAST

Donna Warner was hired as vice president of retail services at the $651 million Liberty Bay Credit Union. Prior to joining the Braintree, Mass.-based cooperative, Warner worked for more than 10 years at Peoples Federal Savings Bank.

The $325 million Signal Financial Federal Credit Union in Kensington, Md., hired John Marsh as its senior vice president and chief information officer. With more than 20 years of experience, he previously worked as director of information technology innovation and solutions group for the $2.8 billion Northwest Federal Credit Union in Herndon, Va.

Annette Garofalo was named vice president of operations for the $16 million Wilmington Postal Federal Credit Union in Wilmington, Del. She joined the credit union in 2002 and worked as a teller, member service representative and loan officer.

MIDWEST

Doug Dehority was named vice president and chief lending officer for the $222 million Land of Lincoln Credit Union in Decatur, Ill. He joined the credit union four years ago and previously served as vice president of commercial lending. Dehority holds 32 years of financial services experience.

Ted Link was hired as a branch manager at the $109 million Heartland Federal Credit Union. He brings 25 years of financial services experience to the Dayton, Ohio-based cooperative.

The $330 million Catholic Federal Credit Union appointed Adam Pelc as a member experience advocate supervisor. He joined the Saginaw, Mich.-based cooperative three years ago and worked in the loan and member service department.

Brenda Kamph was named employee relations manager for the $1.8 billion United Federal Credit Union in St. Joseph, Mich. She previously served as a human resources manager with Premera Blue Cross in Mountlake Terrace, Wash.

SOUTH

Elizabeth Lewis was promoted to vice president of office operations at the $91 million Georgetown Kraft Credit Union. The Georgetown, S.C.-based cooperative also promoted Nikki Ewing to vice president of marketing. Additionally, the credit union named Betsy Cusack, Marilyn Moore and Jessica McCarren to head teller positions. Tara Squires was promoted to a full-time teller position and Nancy McKnight and Anna Eaddy were named tellers. Also, Claudine Drayton was appointed senior member service representative and Melissa Poindexter, Shannon Carroll and Kimberly Birt were named member service representatives. 

The Northwest Federal Credit Union in Herndon, Va., hired Joanna Oliva as senior vice president/chief financial officer and added her to the executive team. Before joining the $2.8 billion cooperative, she served as CEO at TQ Ridge Holdings LLC in Orange County, Calif.

WEST

David Skilton was promoted to president of the $180 million Altier Credit Union in Tempe, Ariz. He previously served as senior vice president/chief financial officer. Before joining Altier CU seven years ago, he worked as vice president finance/chief financial officer for the $235 million Central Willamette Community Credit Union in Albany, Ore.

Arnold Ramirez joined the $72 million San Bernardino School Employees Federal Credit Union in San Bernardino, Calif. as its manager of lending and compliance. Previously, he served as a research and information consultant for the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues.

Al Lujan was elected chair of the board of directors for the $286 million Partner Colorado Credit Union. He joined the credit union more than 40 years ago. He was elected to the board in 2007. Previously, Lujan served nine years on the credit union’s supervisory committee. 

TRADES

Heather Shupe of the $418 million Dover Federal Credit Union and Susan Winward of the $16 million Wilmington Postal Federal Credit Union were re-elected to serve three-year terms on the Delaware Credit Union League. The board officers are: Chair Allen Riley of the $254 million Sussex County Federal Credit Union in Seaford; Vice Chair Joel Romaine of the $124 million Community Powered Federal Credit Union in Bear; Secretary Meredith Jeffries of the $21 million New Castle County Delaware Employees Federal Credit Union in New Castle, and Treasurer Cheryl Chilcutt of the $224 million Louviers Federal Credit Union in Newark. Jerry King of the $254 million DEXSTA Federal Credit Union in Wilmington also serves as a board member.

VENDORS

Tom Ryan, president/CEO of the $2 billion Langley Federal Credit Union in Newport News Va., joined the PSCU board as a director and Amy Sink, president/CEO of the $759 million Interra Credit Union in Goshen, Ind., joined the St. Petersburg, Fla.-based payments CUSO board as an associate director. Directors John Walling, president/CEO, of the $598 million Christian Community Credit Union in San Dimas, Calif.; Mike Valentine, president/CEO of the $2.2 billion BCU in Vernon Hills, Ill.; and associate director Sandy Jelinski, president/CEO of the $3.7 billion Lake Michigan Credit Union in Grand Rapids, Mich. have all retired from the board. PSCU’s board executive committee includes: Dave Doss, president/CEO of the $1.7 billion Arizona State Credit Union in Phoenix, Ariz. as chair; Jeff March, president/CEO of the $2.2 billion Citadel Federal Credit Union, in Exton, Pa. as vice chair; Gene Foley, president/CEO of the $485 million Harvard University Employees Credit Union, Cambridge, Mass. as treasurer; Cathie Tierney, president/CEO of the $2.1 billion Community First Credit Union in Appleton, Wis., as secretary; and Craig Esrael, president/CEO of the $495 million First South Financial Credit Union in Bartlett, Tenn., as past chair.
